June 4, 2013 at 3:34 pm #128949To be honest paper was not that bad. Yes time was the issue but Q1 Q3 and Q4 almost the repeat of previous exam sittings. I think if one can follow the good exam techniques (time allocation) then it is not impossible to pass. I hope I passed if not at least I know what I should be doing next time.

February 13, 2012 at 5:40 am #9386163 1st attempt I am so happy mainly because money I spent to study P2 is only £ big fat 0.
January 23, 2012 at 6:54 pm #92797I dnt thk u r allowed to do that. and since u r new to ACCA I thk its better for u to spend time on ACCA site
January 13, 2012 at 12:32 am #92421I had the chance to watch (out of date) LSBF I thk its good no idea about kaplan tho.
May I say if you are going to buy full online package if you study well in adavance and plssss use revision to max, including asking from tutors cuz u paid for it. If you do that I thk it does not reallly matter whether its LSBF or Kaplan or even OT to that matterSeptember 17, 2011 at 2:44 pm #87614CSM77 I am in the same boat with you, I heard so many bad thgings about P4 and pass rate is only around 39%. F9 was one of my fav subject and even though I got only 63 It was kinda easy for me when the global pass rate was 37% (lowest amongst all other F level exams). So I decided to ignore pass rates and others and just go for P4.
September 17, 2011 at 2:15 pm #86235I did F7 and F8 together and passed both by just using O.T and BPP kit only. it helped me to do them together. Not having done F3 and F7 will not affect on your F8 as long as you put more effort, same time I know its too late but if you study for F7 doing F3 like so easy.
August 26, 2011 at 4:30 pm #86699well, we don’t need to turn a poll where people share results to discussion related to religion.
People who are thanking God have their reasons to do it.
For them when anything happens in their life , that is due to God, even if they worked really hard for it.
And they feel good about it. They feel good of thanking God for everything they have and don’t have. That’s the meaning of their lives.
For you, it might be different.
And so you are happy to realize that by putting lots of efforts into anything , you reached what u aimed for u.no one is right or wrong. Everyone chooses his way and follows it.
Luckily we have free will.well said mate

46… first time. Covered most of exam… Not really dissappointed as I spend only 2 weeks watching LSBF lectures. Next time will try OT notes. Should I do it together with other publisher or OT alone was enough for you, lucky guys, to pass? Thanks to OT I scored 58. I only used OT but every bit of OT, i mean including the revision ohh also I had a bpp kit.

I did similar calculations but removed not just 0.5 for disposal but also the profit element relating to unsold goods that would have to be disposed. e.g. if 350,000 units were produced but only 280,000 were sold then it would be 350,000 * 5 = 1, 750, 000 expected profit. and then i would calculate 350,000 – 280,000 = 70,000 unsold items multiplied by 5 profit + and 70,000 *0.5 disposal cost. Therefore :total profit on 350, 000 production is 1,750,000
profit on unsold 70,000 @ 5 (350,000)
disposal cost on 70,000 @ 0.5 ( 35,000)
actual profit 1,365,000 – goes to payfoff table.Yeah but u can do this way, even if u produce 350 000 on average weather u can sell ONLY 280 000, so its 5 * 280 000 and (350 -280) * .5 =1.365 eitherway same answer
June 13, 2011 at 6:11 pm #84758June 13, 2011 at 3:49 pm #84702I do not think this is a difficult paper. If you did 5 revision Qs in this open tution alone you can get atleast most parts of 3 questions correctly ( maximax, learning curves and throughput). that alone will give you enough to pass. Also flexed budget is so easy so 4 out of 5 questions can be done easy.
Q4 was the only one tricky for me.
Thank you open tutionAugust 23, 2010 at 7:28 pm #66611@lollyb said:
