    Hi all,

I’m new to ACCA and need to sit F7 and the P papers.

Just wondering what ye would think of sitting F7 and P2 together, as P2 builds on F7?

    Thanks for your help 🙂

I think that it is possible; I’m assuming you have exemptions from all the other F papers?

I think sitting F7 and P2 in the same sitting is an excellent idea and will benefit you greatly.

    I’d say about 80% of P2 is F7.

Yup I have exemptions from the other F papers.

I know it used to be the case that you had to pass F7 before you sat P2, as they used to be on the same day. But that’s changed now and I can’t see anything on website about having to pass F7 before I sit P2.

Thanks for that Spencerli… have you sat both these papers already? I haven’t gone through the syllabus properly yet but I’m guessing there’s an overlap of topics but P2 is harder?

    Good Luck.

Spencer reckons that about 80% of P2 is in F7.

Hmmm. I think P2 is SUBSTANTIALLY harder than that!

But, yes, there is overlap and, so long as you have either passed, are exempt or have entered for the other F level exams, then you are able to enter both – June 13 for F7 and June 19 for P2
