Second sitting went from 41% to 35% .These exams are breaking my heart 🙁Understand completely where you are coming from…..
July 16, 2018 at 8:49 am #46295145% second sitting after 48% first time. That’s including 2 cbe application failures and me having to sit there like a total lemon for 30 mins before they fixed it. Hated the cbe style
I’m honestly speechless though as I though I did enough to pass
Hate the ACCA!

Well i have to say, if the papers get much harder then the F5 exam i took on Weds i am going to have to seriously re-consider ACCA. I was exempt from F1 – F3 and have passed F6 – F8….on with F4 at the min but i dont feel like i am ever going to pass F5. This was my second attempt and i am sure i have failed again. I am almost 34 so i dont want to spend the rest of my 30s with my head in books while life passes me by. Feel really deflated at the min!Im in the same boat i have failed F6 twice F8 twice all close by 46+ and i cant be bothered anymore, all the hard work for what……..so my daughter sees me ignore her at weekends as i have work to do………rather jack it in and spend time with her.
Im giving F8 one last go in June then im jacking it all in if i fail that. Cant be doing this anymore
January 26, 2018 at 3:10 pm #433167I just booked mine for Liverpool and it only gave me the CBE choice!
I hate CBE i like writing all over my question sheet and making notes.
You cant do that with CBE, im not happy
Any advice from people who have taken CBE and whats the setup?

Hi Samir,Thanks so much for the very detailed and helpful response. Pretty sure it was definitely my technique that let me down in the end, plus I did the CBE for this in June and I don’t think I practiced that enough before the exam day. Hopefully 2nd time round i’ll have more luck. 🙂 Thanks again
I feel your pain i got 49 in march exam, then did F6 and got 40 (thought i cruised it, but ah well)
Im doing F8 again in March so im there with you ha. Im almost sure like you my exam technique let me down so ill be doing as many questions as i can from now till the exam as the theory is obviously very dull
Lets hope we both get the best of luck this time
if you need any help with revision kits let me know

Passed with 66%. Overall pleased I passed but felt I lost a lot of marks in the section A/B MCQ area again. My average pass mark has reduced since these new MCQ style questions have come in and feel I’m not completely showing what I know. Why does that matter when you pass? No one will ever ask you your marks?

HI I have 41% I am gutted as before exam I thought I could get 70% easily !!i was same and i got 40%

I’m absolutely gutted as I had the worst result you can get – 49%…
Can someone please share an experience with paying £50 (I’m not sure if the cost is right) for ACCA to check my exam again?they wont remark it
All they do is provide questions you passed and questions you failed. Then they count that the marks are correct
They are!!!
Because they check them 3 times before they are released
been there done that 3 times its demoralizing so i feel your pain
January 15, 2018 at 6:24 am #42969440% and I just don’t get it I thought I had cruised it!
November 26, 2017 at 1:15 pm #418070Yeah but you should use past papers as it gives u the idea of the style of the questions and how they are asked. I’d use both just don’t rely on rates of past papers
November 22, 2017 at 1:42 pm #417409£325,000 is the yearly nil rate band (tax free)

oh Paul I’m sorry to hear that..
I’ve seen a couple of your threads and had my fingers crossed for you!But by the look of your scores its the exam technique that’s failing you – not the knowledge.
I failed P4 in March then failed P1 & P4 in June. That was 3 fails in a row and tbh it was topping off my already c88p year! Even more frustrating was seeing those around me passing – with high marks (#’!$#/@!) – and progressing up the career ladder. Yes I was jealous, and bitter.
Studying takes you away from family, friends – and anything fun! With family and full time jobs it.is.HARD!!!I was beginning to think I was just not cut out for this – and I’m still not 100%.
But ACCA/CIMA qualifications are so important! Employers really value them and you will definitely learn more from failing then passing.I’m extremely thankful that I passed P1 in September but I know that it’s not over yet and that I need to put more work in for the remaining exams…..as hard as that is to admit.
Never look too far ahead because it can become soul destroying. Head down & one at a time.Good luck with whatever you decide.
ILL TAKE ANY AND ALL HELP!!!!
Out of curiousity how do you prepare for the exams?

something is wrong with the way this paper is marked. I think I need a remark! I am so confident that I deserve a pass. I scored 49!They wont remark it, thats your mark, you have to accept it and move on. They usually check it 2 to 3 times before they issue your marks. Plus there is also no way of getting your paper remarked

October 16, 2017 at 9:24 am #411737I took F8 but im going to try and sit F6 if i do any at all and go back to a numbers based one. However im not even sure i wanna pay the £100 to do it. Think i just need to make assesment whether i want to carry on
October 16, 2017 at 7:02 am #411661I had 47,48,46,43. 43 being my last. At that rate ill never finiahe the exams
October 16, 2017 at 3:55 am #4115914th failure in a row….think thats the final blow for me so despondant its untrue
October 16, 2017 at 3:39 am #41158443% i think im done with Acca. Cant take the hits anymore. Gutted doesnt even come close
