Ive noticed a few comments from different members stating that had they completed Q4 or whatever then they feel they would have a better chance of passing as it looked like an easy question but they ran out of time and missed it out.
I therefore have to ask, why didn’t you do that question first? If you see a question on the exam paper and think “I can get through that and can nail it” then get that question done first! Time management is a real issue in this exam and if you are going to finish a question ahead of time it ill be in one that you feel confident in. It also gives you a boost when you’ve completed a question and you think “that went well” and you are focused and ready for the next one.
No one said the questions need to be completed 1-5. If there are some you think you can tackle well, do them first but DO NOT RUN OVER WITH TIME. Stick to your allotted time and move on. There is nothing worse than trying a difficult question and struggling with your answer and time. It deflates you. Get the “easier” questions out the way first get a bit of confidence and momentum and leave the more “difficult” questions to the last. It sounds simple but will definitely help.
September 6, 2012 at 1:25 pm #104873If you are not doing all three, I think you have to do F9 and P2 so that you have completed Skills and Essentials before Options.
September 6, 2012 at 1:22 pm #102095As I understand all three can be relevant and determining which is most relevant will be affected by the potential issue. For example lack of control when consolidating group accounts may mean that inter company transactions are not cancelled out and can affect all three. Whereas failure to correctly accrue an audit fee will impact bth profit and total assets.
September 6, 2012 at 1:15 pm #104946Yes. I’ve been unable to access myACCA since the results were issued, so four weeks now. I’ve tried it at various times but without any sucess. It’s really frustrating and totally unacceptable.

hey guys I paid £52 for the review… hope for a good resultmountain, I’m sorry to say that I think you’ve wasted your money. No one should use this service and I’ll be astounded if your mark is revised. I know this is not what you want to hear however I’ll be interested to know how you got on.

August 8, 2012 at 8:51 am #103660Passed with a 54 at second attempt. So pleased.
Anyone thinking of a review, don’t waste your money it’s not worth it. Put the funds towards exam fee. And don’t put off re-sitting either. Go for it in December.
March 13, 2012 at 4:42 pm #94559Hardest – P7 with F9 a close second
Easiest – probably P5. Not that i found it easy just not on the scale of some others.
December 21, 2011 at 2:46 pm #90825P7 is definitely the most difficult exam I have taken in terms of time pressure. I had to be really strict with time to ensure I didn’t run over but this probably affected the quality of my answers. Not sure I’ve done enough to pass.
In terms of which study texts to use, I’ve used both bpp and Kaplan and always preferred BPP. It is a purely personal thing although my Kaplan text for P7 had numerous errors in the index pages at the back but I have passed exams using Kaplan and bpp.
August 23, 2010 at 12:52 pm #66968I had a marginal failure and was also wondering if anyone had experience of an admin review. Sounds like this is just another way for ACCA to make money.
