I have also checked the list and my name isn’t on it. Anyone completed the June 2014 exams and their name is on the list?
June 3, 2014 at 10:06 am #173175Isnt pfi supposed to just be analytical procedures and enquiry if management? I remember from my reading that pfi doesnt have any substantative procedures.
Thats why its limited or negative assurance
June 2, 2014 at 6:43 pm #172957Question 5a do u get marks for writing the other 5 recocommendations other than going concern? I remember the question specially state what to include for the going concern paragraph and benefits of doing so.
5b I wrote wrong heading used. Should be qualified – except for opinion or adverse if pervasive.
For the basis of para, Never include the account balance. Never quantify the amount. Never write impact on asset/profits.
Unprofessional words used, should not mention director in report. Wrong wordings used for the opinon paragraph, shoulf be ” except for the effects of the matter described in the basis of paragraph”.
Should not use emphasis of matter para. Should include the provision in basis paraJune 2, 2014 at 6:24 pm #172943Qz 3 should be audit procedures for the ppe. Theres a few other frs along with ppe but I cant remember. I think it was revenue.
I didnt do qz 3
June 2, 2014 at 5:53 pm #172914I didnt really notice the part on all subsi were operated under the same currency. Must have been the exam stress and the time pressure.
June 2, 2014 at 5:23 pm #172870for qz 1 audit risk, I wrote inventories, intangible asset – brand, effects of changes in foreign exchange rates, investment properties, first year audit, new inventory system, management performance bonus based on revenue and a few others.
November 21, 2013 at 12:46 pm #147148ur in-text citation seems weird.
November 21, 2013 at 8:38 am #147113So was it extended?
November 15, 2013 at 4:29 pm #146185Ppt need to do referencing? I thought someone said no need?
November 14, 2013 at 6:49 pm #146074Not sure, but I manually counted them. It doesn’t that time consuming for me cause I only have 7 graphs
NOTE Oh please! You do not have to manually count your words! Get real! Is the marker going to sit there and do this when Microsoft Word has a word count facility ? (Trephena) 🙂
November 14, 2013 at 6:48 pm #146073Mine is small cause I didn’t do print screens. Instead I typed out the FS into my excel and used the function to do the ratio
November 14, 2013 at 4:19 pm #146036Will I fail if I do not put the page number?
November 14, 2013 at 10:12 am #145958I have submitted already. Good luck to everyone.
November 13, 2013 at 2:27 pm #145823Manually count them.
November 13, 2013 at 4:30 am #145761I do 1 graph per slide. U can combine a few ratios into 1 graph Also.
E.g. for margin, op margin, np margin into 1 graph
Can anyone answer my qz on pictures in ppt
November 12, 2013 at 2:16 pm #145643Since the word limit is now 7500, it will definitely be better to have at least 7000 words. If you want to increase the chances of passing the RAP, definitely have at least 7000 words.
However, I believe that the 6500 word limit can still be used for this session. I know many people from my country are still going to submit 6500 words for their RR.
November 12, 2013 at 1:13 pm #145617Not sure what you mean by that. Do you mean is having a healthy/high liquidity ratio a strength of an organisation?
November 11, 2013 at 3:21 pm #145403Regarding this, can more people verify? It would seem silly if the markers do not check the excel spreadsheet.
So what should we do? Take a printscreen of all our formula bars for each of our ratios and paste them into the main report?
that will be 9 screenshots for me. I know some people are doing 16 ratios, so it would be weird if they put 16 images into their appendix section of their main report.
November 11, 2013 at 4:57 am #145339This thread is to discuss all your word count & breakdown for each of the 3 parts for the RR.
Here is mine.
Title page + content page : 210 words
Part 1 : 900 words
Part 2 : 1900 words
Part 3 : 4415 words (including wordings in graphs/tables)Total: 7425 words
November 8, 2013 at 3:27 pm #145105I think that what M. means is that the graphs are in the body of the RAP(from title to conclusion). These graphs do have lots of words in them e.g financial year 2010, 2011, 2012.
November 6, 2013 at 3:28 pm #144761Why isn’t there a need to reference PPT? I was told to reference my PPT or risk failure. Can someone pls confirm, Thanks
November 6, 2013 at 3:12 pm #144760Thanks for the reply. I just need to clarify on what I have read in the obu pack.
It says on pg 39 “As evidence of this you must submit a copy of your presentation in your skills and learning statement” and “you will pass ‘communication skills’ if a copy of the research report presentation is included in the SLS”
So I really don’t need to put my powerpoint slides in the SLS? Just put as a separate powerpoint file?
November 6, 2013 at 10:35 am #144715Thank you so much
October 26, 2013 at 5:34 pm #143790Hi
What do you mean by graphs should only be presented in report and not in appendix? I thought we have to make graphs in excel and copy to report? Therefore, the excel will also have the graph.
Another question, can we only have 1 excel spreadsheet for all the financial statements and ratio calculations? However, that 1 spreadsheet will be line divided into appendix 1 : financial statements, appendix 2: ratio, appendix 3: graphs.
Is this ok?
October 23, 2013 at 12:40 pm #143443Can some kind souls pls tell me how do I do referencing in my excel(appendix)?
