    Hey Steven,
Please don’t give up. It’s okay to be disappointed especially if we’ve put in so much work but I have failed so many of my papers in the past (and very likely to fail this P2 too) but in my lowest moments my family and friends gave me strength. So here I am as a distant friend and fellow ACCA student that Pls Don’t Give Up…it will all pay off in the end.
And knowledge you acquired thru your learning is never a waste even if you don’t pass this time. Stay encouraged!

To apply the UK GAAP thru out will be tough and means I’ve failed already as I hardly understand it as I do with the IFRSs

If you look at the P2 Uk past question papers, they ask specific questions regarding different treatments using IFRS or FRS 102 (the uk IFRS equivalent).

I think in all the past questions I’ve seen, you apply the UKGAAP when specifically asked.
    I hope so.
    Thank you

I think you don’t have to bother with UK GAAP Focus if you are sitting th INT variant.

    Thank you Ken.
From your analysis below standard production run should be 9 hours (4.5hours * 2times ina day)
And Bespoke should be 9 hours (3hours * 3 times in day)

why does the solution allude to 8 hours for standard and 6 hours for bespoke?
    Am I missing something?
Please help a confused student. Thank you.

    Standard: 1 production run:

    set-up 10 mins, run for 4 hours, set-down 20 mins = 4.5 hours. This can be done twice in a 9 hour day so the total set-up and set-down times would be 2 x (10 mins + 20 mins) = 1 hour.

    Bespoke: 1 production run:

    Set-up 15 mins, run for 2 hours, set-down = 45 mins = 3 hours. This can be done three times in a 9 hour day so the total set-up and set-down times would be 3 x (15 mins + 45 mins) = 3 hours

Oh dear, I studied so hard for this paper and yet found it very challenging. MCQ were so time consuming and somewhat difficult. Part B was also very demanding: almost impossible to complete within the stipulated time. Really pray I make the pass mark. Goodluck to the rest of you!
