Very helpful sir. Thank you so much!
November 27, 2023 at 2:12 pm #695616Thank you Mr. Moffat <3 I’ll see if I’m able to do it if my mind and time allows after revision.
November 24, 2023 at 1:32 pm #695403Got it. Thank you!
November 23, 2023 at 7:00 pm #695354Right, thanks!
November 23, 2023 at 4:05 pm #695345Thank you for the response.
I was searching about the presentation slides just now and I came across this link. So fortunate!
Here I hope it will help everyone else:
So thankful for this.
I was also gonna ask you about when to use presentation slides. There’s guidance on it as well as to the tone and content but I need to ask if they’ll be given only when we’re required to answer in them or are they always given?
November 23, 2023 at 3:35 pm #695340Thank you for the reassurance.
What do you mean by the current examiner took over in 2010? Was the syllabus different back then?
November 22, 2023 at 4:18 pm #695260Yes, I think I’ll do it this way. The reason why I want to focus on the latest ones is to be familiar with the way the examiner asks questions these days.
Though, the older ones would definitely be helpful I just feel that focusing on the latest trend would be a smarter way to go about it but I haven’t looked at the questions and I certainly do not have your knowledge and experience of the exam, so I would really appreciate if you could comment on my approach and logic 🙂
November 8, 2023 at 1:08 pm #694548That was my understanding too. Thank you for the response 🙂
November 7, 2023 at 2:39 pm #694512Edit: I forgot about the delta hedging so please ignore what I said about N(d1). What’s actually confusing me is why have they given the Nd table in the formula sheet when the calculator calculates everything for you? Am I missing something because I haven’t skipped any part of the syllabus?
November 3, 2023 at 6:11 pm #694356Yes, that is exactly what I was referring to. Thank you so much for clearing it up, it all makes sense now 🙂
September 29, 2023 at 3:14 pm #692629Oh, no worries though. I’ve understood that it’s the background information that you’d have in advance basically to just be familiar with the case study beforehand and to reduce the examination time. Nothing much to worry about except reading it thoroughly in time.
September 29, 2023 at 3:10 pm #692628Sure sir 🙂 Thanks <3
September 19, 2023 at 10:34 am #692255Thank you, that makes sense and sounds really helpful. I believe I’ll just go through the OT notes and move on to practice making my efforts much more productive. What matters the most is to pass!
One last thing, do you have a lecture on the pre-seen material that I can watch? I could not find them in the SBL lecture section.
September 19, 2023 at 10:20 am #692254I guess it’ll be sensible to go through Section A to know what it’s all about and follow the sequence in the study text but focus more on Section B and E (at least initially) and then move on to practice.
Thank you so much! 🙂
July 17, 2023 at 12:30 am #68812891% – I truly am grateful 🙂
July 11, 2023 at 6:26 pm #687847You’ve answered it.. that is what I needed to know. I thought maybe we would have to look at S1 and S2 specific risks and that the text was outdated (for 2023-24). Thank you!
June 30, 2023 at 1:27 pm #687536Understandable. Thank you for the heads up! 🙂
June 30, 2023 at 12:06 pm #687528I’m comparing the OT notes with the study text just to be aware of additional knowledge.
Yes, I do realize that I cannot expect to just produce a rote learned answer. I reckon the scenario would give an indication of a deficiency that I’d have to identify.
But to be aware of the regulations I guess I’d have to spare around 10 minutes to go through them (my notes) periodically to have them at the back of my mind and not worry too much about it.
Would this approach suffice?
June 29, 2023 at 2:20 pm #687512I’ll be sitting the International version. The Kaplan study text says areas that are relevant for the UK exam are under the heading “UK Syllabus”. The UK CCG was not under it but was shown separately as a good example of CCG.
June 27, 2023 at 1:10 pm #687469Thank you so much 🙂
June 9, 2023 at 2:49 pm #686654Oh and thank you for all the help over these 3 months Mr. Widberg 🙂
Chris was also spot on in his lectures.
June 9, 2023 at 2:48 pm #686653Absolutely. I hope to meet the target 🙂
June 1, 2023 at 2:04 pm #685812Noted. Thanks!
May 31, 2023 at 3:35 pm #685618Whoa, thank God I asked this. So, disappointed with the ACCA online webinar host when I asked if I can highlight in the reading time and they just said yes. It was obvious from my question that I had no idea about it.
Thank you for letting me know. I spent 6.5 hours on two mocks setting timer for the reading time. No point in the doing the mocks again I guess. Better off going through the questions again (the more the better). Don’t wanna be exhausted for the exam day.
Would you yourself have a look at at least what’s in the next question (not read it), just to have an idea what’s next to come? For overall planning?
May 26, 2023 at 12:33 pm #685113Thank you so much!
Yes, I do intend to go through the questions one more time after doing a couple of mocks for improving exam technique 🙂
