i miss boy ryan.. :'( …
December 8, 2011 at 2:51 pm #91273I have no clue what ACCA examiner expect from us?
Sorry to say, they are not expecting us to become accountants/analysts… All we have to do is to speed up..
Whats the point of wiriting exams, when we cannot even read/understand the scnerios… If i had 3 hour 3 minites to write this exam, i would have done wonders.. but thanks to ACCA.. they are preparing athletes, not accountants!December 6, 2011 at 1:40 pm #90903it should have been a 3 hour 30 minutes exam..
December 1, 2011 at 1:35 am #90373Thanks 🙂
June 11, 2010 at 7:22 am #63870learning curve might not.. it came up last sitting..
but can’t say anything..! ACCA examiners are getting wild.. expect nothing.. 😀June 10, 2010 at 6:38 am #62420@gambler747 said:
Oh there is a 25 mark question ENTIRELY on partnership in june 2006 and it is testing alot more of the partnership only rules than the question of this years paper.Sorry people but those who are claiming to have done the entire revision kits were clearly doing something wrong…
i think there was no such technical area of partnership examined in paper.. we just had to distribute the profits (and we learned this in f3).. and the basis period was not to be calculated.. had the examiner given a question to calculate basis period in partnership, than we would have a tough time! but fortunately he dint!

June 8, 2010 at 1:28 pm #62644relatively easy than past papers..
i think the examiner want more student to give ENG variant 😛June 7, 2010 at 3:23 pm #62292i had no issues with changed style.. but marks allocation was a main issue..
June 7, 2010 at 3:14 pm #62289🙁
June 7, 2010 at 1:36 pm #622583-4 marks were allocated …. … ****
June 7, 2010 at 1:35 pm #62257q3 and q4 were the toughest..
q1 and q2 were very lengthy.. and 3-4 were allocated to the questions that required a detailed working!June 7, 2010 at 1:35 pm #62256i guess the examiner was drunk while writing the paper..
wth! this paper was so different!! :SJune 6, 2010 at 12:25 am #62170i would advise u to use Study Text.
and use OT as a reference. don’t rely on OT notes, they are good, but still Study text is must!June 4, 2010 at 8:20 am #62008and it’s not about “how many words”, it’s about how relevant ur answer is.. trust me, examiner is not interested in ur detail 2-3 page answers.. but it is quite obvious that a 10 mark question will contain more relevant points than a 3 mark question..
and don’t rely too much on marking scheme answers, as the examiner has said that the answers provided in marking schemes are for teaching purposes, and student can get full marks, even if they write answer which is not as detailed as marking scheme!
June 4, 2010 at 8:17 am #62007questions on conditions, warranties and innominate will be of around 3-4 marks!
i would write :
Definition, Remedy, Case Law… i guess this would sufficient! it will take around 6-7 lines!June 4, 2010 at 8:14 am #61785if u know the point of law, it is sufficient. even if u look at marking schemes, the examiner has written “….. …. supported by case laws OR example” .. so make sure that u r able to make examples!
but i would advise u to learn few important cases (about 20).. because in exam it would be time saving to quote cases and their decisions, rather than writing a long example!
May 25, 2010 at 8:52 am #60833thanks werty!
i have looked at marking schemes, and the kaplan text is very much same as the answers in the mark scheme.. - AuthorPosts
