It was a surprise paper cause most people expected lots of calculations in the paper, the paper was fair to me & i only got stuck on about 5 questions in section A& those I just did’nt find the answers I calculated on the choices. I attempted the all questions in section B & left some few though.
I just hope I pass the paper only, GOD be with me.
On Incremental cost, how I approached that question in section B, the first part was not relevant, as was stated in the question itself, maintenance costs will be saved immediately of xxx (forgotten figure) & in the machines useful life & other charges that have also forgotten. The useful life was 5years, so I divided the amounts with 5years to get the incremental costs at 0 years, then added the 2 saved that will saved to get the total saving.
Then final cost on maintenance, I used the annuity method since the amounts was same for the machines useful life at cost of capital which was 12%.
So amount eg $100 x (0.621+0.761….upto 5yrs on the tables), I hope I got it right with the pressure in the exams whats wrong seems right otherwise am expecting to pass with makes between 65% & 75% or more.
I wanted for F1/FAB, but the only available past papers are for F4-F9 & proffessional levels.

Hahaha Sharon I also started doing that, I changed for one question after finishing i stared going through again then though i marked a wrong answer, at last i thought i will start changing most answers I even closed the question paper & answer booklet.
When i reached home, i went through all question i could remember, so far none i got wrong. Just ready in preparation for FMA. I hope my results come as i expect!!!
I think this was the best paper have ever writen in my FIA exams, I finished early, by the time it was an hour remaining i started going back to the question I Ieft which where about 8 only. I hope to get high marks in this paper.
Thanks to Opentuition, your course notes helped me so much to catch up cause I started studying in October & only used your course notes & went through past papers only. 3 weeks before FAB exams, i even started revisions. It was the only paper i was attempting this semester.
When will FMA course notes be available for June 2014?
