Hi,
I was unable to sit the P2 Int exam (failed in December) due to being unwell, sure I wouldve passed. Has anyone got any previous mocks I can have please as I am now revising on my own to hopefully sit it in June. Or any revision notes – Kaplan or BPP.
Please email me at B_Chen53@yahoo com.
Thank you.

June 16, 2013 at 2:13 pm #132469Hi,
can someone please send me a sample or copy of a OBU. I’m looking to submit next year (2014) but not yet sure which topic to do for ease and a pass. Thank you.May 8, 2013 at 7:34 pm #124918Is it not included in investing activities as part of your calculation for the Purchase of TNCA/PPE? I think.
April 1, 2013 at 8:01 am #121200Personally, I think F9 is the most difficult exam paper so far. I’ve passed P-level exams but with so many attempts at F9 so far, this paper is getting me down, in fact it’s a big stress factor! And revising what you’ve already studied several times is difficult as I know the text just doesn’t seem to be able to apply the technique in the exams to obtain a pass.
Surely, the ACCA needs to look into this exam setting as surely it’s not good for their performance indicators? :-). My performance in this paper is the worse ever and I have been doing well in exams. It is so very frustrating as I can’t finish Level 2 to do OBU but I’m clearing Level 3 papers, hmmmmm, very strange, very strange indeed!
Don’t give up! We’ll keep trying until we succeed!February 17, 2013 at 3:32 pm #118076@wannabeact
I’m in the same boat so to speak as you are with 5 papers to go, a family to support, working full-time hours of 37 per week over 4 days. I make the time to study by drawing up a timetable – 1 paper per evening after 7pm. I know it’s not the quantity of study but the quality so I accept because I’m tired in the evenings, I could do an hour of studying but only learn whatever the equivalent of 30 mins of studying is. It takes me longer to study, digest and understand information when tired so it’s worth doing a bit per week than nothing at all. After everyone else has settled into bed, I have a shower, make myself a cup of strong coffee to wake me up and try to do at least an hour. It’s not easy some nights but you have to sacrifice a lot of things as it will be worth it at the end when you finish all the exams. Think of the end, it’s all over, you’ve passed your exams and how proud you and your family are of that achievement 🙂February 17, 2013 at 3:05 pm #118074@MikeLittle, thank you very much for your response.
I think I’ve got it. $3,000 is the difference between the pv of the deferred consideration at acquisition ($30,000) and the deferred consideration @ reporting date ($33,000) using 10%, 2years. 7/12ths is post acqui of $1,750. In the SOFP, deferred consideration of $31,750 is £30,000 + $3,000 less the pre-acqui (5/12ths of £3,000).
I very much appreciate the time you are spending helping us out.
God bless
December 8, 2012 at 10:37 am #110781I’ve passed all my other papers with no problem but I am finding this paper very difficult, very difficult indeed! I studied very hard for this exam as I’m repeating with 47% & 48% in previous exams but it still didn’t pay off yesterday, Q1 was easy but lengthy to calc sales & v.c., uncertainty around FC as being relevant but included the incremental amounts! ARR was also easy but misread the question about before tax cashflows and used after tax figures! W/capital ques was ok and the writing parts were ok but as usual I hate Q4! I know I have failed yet again and I am really devasted. I have never considered quitting my studies before yesterday! Failure isn’t a nice feeling especially when you know you’ve really tried.

August 25, 2012 at 11:25 am #104412Now watched and re-read the lectures and notes and fully understand. Thank you.
June 16, 2012 at 8:56 am #100541I must’ve sat another ACCA F9 exam as the exam I sat was hard and lengthy, not what I consider a fair exam to even come close to finish and do well! Devastated!
Not a good feeling for 2nd attempt!! 🙁June 16, 2012 at 8:48 am #99858F9 exam was very hard and too lengthy for me to finish (apart from question 1 which was easier)! Really disappointed and devastated as I put a lot of effort into studying it 2nd time around, having failed 1st time with 48%! This time I doubt I’ll get 48%! Apart from self-blame, ACCA is setting their exams too hard and lengthy! In the real world, our deadlines are realistic and achievable! I’ll better start saving up to pay for December resit plus 3% on this years cost!
September 25, 2011 at 6:38 pm #88236Thank you Steve Willis. It certainly makes sense 2nd time around. Of course, it’s the tax benefits on the capital allowance I should take to the table. I confused myself with the £125k calculated and the £150k. Hopefully, I won’t make that mistake twice! F9 seems so hard!
