In F4 Global version there was a question about olive oil bottles.Quick reminder: A supplier was to supply bottles. The contract stated ‘ex-works’. B buyer arranged shipment of the bottles and when they were delivered at Buyer’s address it was clear that bottles were useless due to bad packaging.
Do you think the Buyer should pay for contaminated bottles (result of improper package)?
Yes!!! The question had a line saying that it appears that the bottles were poorly packaged.
So yes he’s liable for improper packing which resulted in both the contamination and the some of them being broken.Well its over now. Good luck π

November 2, 2011 at 12:43 pm #89223Ofcourse not!!! The notes are too short. Remember this is an exam, it would be rather advisable to try reading alot of material as much as possible.
November 1, 2011 at 5:25 am #89211Admin participation would be really helpful at this point. @admin

mayfikryplease write to ACCA and confrim it first !
But the syallbus, study guides and all the articles on acca doesnt state that. Why would global be pakistan law, when you already have a pakistan variant?

hi,
I have been studying bpp study text for upcoming f4 paper for last two weeks.I have found them very complicated to study. The words are very difficult to remember and they are too lengthy too.
Have you guys got a chance to study kaplan notes. If yes then can u plz tell me comparatively whether they are easy or complicated to bpp notes. If they are easy then i will buy them.
plz advice me thanksYou should try emily woolf too, but dont use it as a main text to study from. It can only be used as side materials, the langugue is easy and to the point.
October 31, 2011 at 8:34 am #88852October 31, 2011 at 8:31 am #89205well first part of cuteleo’s reply was correct anyway π
Global variant is like international. It is not related to any specific country! It is based on international law documents , like United Nations Convention on International Sale of Goods (UNSIGS) – the most important document that you will need to study for this paper.
However u will find references to UK law as example of best practice.Hope you already acquired materials for Global variant.
So download syllabus and use your materials to prepare for exam.good luck!
Thanks for your reply!! Yes i’m gonna start studying the golbal version since im not sure where i’ll end up anyways.
Thanks once again.

October 8, 2011 at 10:33 am #88571Umm, thanks for your reply. But i needed someone to actually solve it, i already do know how to do it. But my answer and the book’s answer are different.
So i was hoping to get a third opinion. π@vipin70 said:
Now, i am in a good mood to explain….to create process account.
you need to identify which entries are debited and credited…input costs, labour cost, production overhead costs are debited in process acc.
output cost, normal loss are credited…
abnormal gain is debited and abnormal loss is credited…
to find the cost of ouptut, you need to do some calculations…..
before making abnormal loss or gain account.. you need to make scrap account. so, after making process acc, make scrap account and then abnormal loss / gain account.
if you still have doubts on any steps , pls ask again…
