Failed ..35%. 🙁
Thought I’d scrapped through. Oh well start preparing for June!54% really thought I got about 30% as I was sitting for a bout 45 minute with nothing to write. Delighted!
yeah I got a confirmation as well.. now we just have to wait till the 28th Sept!! It’s ages away!!
thanks for your reply. I understandwhat you mean by submitting the excel format of the BS and Income statement.
Just having a few issues with showing how my ratios were calculated.. but I should get that sorted today.. fingers crossed!!
ThanksHi all… I am just putting my final touches to my project and was wondering about the Appendices.. do I include a copy the 3 year financial Statements of just extracts from them… or both? Also Do I have to show my formulas in my excel sheet to show how I got the ratios???

Proves it’s good to share ideas on Open tuition!!amnatariq – I choose a company listed on the stock exchange as all their reports are publically available.
I also checked out their website to make sure that it was easy to navigate and understand. I then looked for news on the company and industry over the past 3 years from various sites including their own press releases
I also am trying to find out info on it’s competitors.
Hope this helps.Sn0b01 -I had a quick look on Amazon and book depository online. Just did a search for analysing financial statement etc.. then went to a bookshop to have a better look before I bought anything. Paid more by going to the bookshop but at least I have it now.
thanks for your replies. I bought a book yesterday on analysis and interpretation of Financial Statements so hopefully this will point me in the right direction.
I have been reading loads of infomation about my choosen company and I think I just had a infomation overload and felt a bit overwhelmed.
I need to sit down and understand every item in the accounts before I being analysing them I think.It all depends on what you like and how motivated you are.
I sat all papers through self study and I found F5,F6 and F9 the easiest, but that is beacuse I prefer the numerical and calc subjects rather than the theory subjects.
However I sat the exams 2 at a time in the correct order and that way I got a mix of both theory and numerical exams at each sitting.
F4+F5, F6+F7 and F8+F9passed 51%.. happy as I thought I failed and was not looking forward to repeating!!
I did just that in Dec.. parts of each subject is similar so ok from that point of view but I would have preferred to do a theory subject with one with lots of calcs.
I’m not sure if it was a hard paper or I just wasn’t prepared enough for the professional level questions. I knew all the knowledge I just got stuck on what exactly they were looking for… I’d say I got no professional marks that’s for sure!!!
Don’t know what to make of this paper.. I was re-siting this exam and was so sure that I passed the last time so haven’t a clue how this one went!
Fingers crossed I get over 50%.. really don’t want to do this exam again!Hopefully their new scanning marking system didn’t miss a page!!
