What if I look at a peice of legislature implemented in Sri Lanka which adversely affected a companies bottom line.
And then discuss what effects it would have on financial performance of a company in UK with similar product ptotofolio.
Would that be valid.

Right ok. I understand the confusion now.
I was thinking that what you meant in the mock question was that activity based costing gives reduced overhead values compared to traditional costing if we use both for the same scenario.
But what you meant is that activity based costing helps to identify drivers and hence the company can reduce overheads on the long-term.

Doesn’t activity base costing usually change the amount of overheads allocated to certain product over another and not the total overhead costs applicable to all products.

Is reducing total overhead costs an advantage of activity based costing ?

Just one last thing.As this is my first written exam , i was wondering when your writing an essay part of the question is it okay to underline key words and sentences just to make it clearer

Back home, we divide questions into multiple choice questions and the rest as essay question, so hence my mistake.
I did the ACCA sample paper and in the question with pay off table (question 3) I just made the table without showing the workings ( I did it in my head).
So I suppose I should take time and write it down just in case.

Yes . ( I got computer based exams confused with computer based tests . Hence the T and not the E)
So according to the revision kit , questions 45-50 gives 30 marks.is that correct.

got 82. in my paper their wasn’t a single question on correlation and regression . Don’t know why. (could have got 85)
their were 2 questions also based on excel spread sheets.
