The wording in these exams gets me every time. By the time I figure out what they are really asking time is up. I too was confused with the foreign exchange section B q’s
March 7, 2021 at 4:29 am #613811I think I missed a question in section C. I’ve been wracking my brain trying to remember doing 5 questions but I only can remember 4.
. Calculate WACC
2. an EAC
3. Something about whether issuing shares will cause WACC to fall
4. Something about replacing asset at same time?
but I cannot recall any other in Section. It really is bothering me that I might have missed a question.
Can anybody help fill in this gap in my brain?January 25, 2021 at 12:57 am #607828Ankithmathew. Hello. Do you have any suggestions on how to prep for theory?
January 19, 2021 at 11:03 pm #607218Hey folks, can anyone tell me if ACCA still has prizewinners? I don’t see any information on these anymore. I used to really be inspired by their stories and advice. You guys know of any within recent years? If there were none, I’d be very concerned and so should ACCA. Just saying.
January 18, 2021 at 3:13 am #606539To RJ18: I too believe in God only He did not give us the same strategy lol. Can you share how to did it?
January 18, 2021 at 3:10 am #606538A lot of my time goes into trying to understand the questions asked. I’ve noticed that the way the questions are in the kit is different to how they are structured on exam day. For example, I will NEVER forget that TERP question that I still do not understand and TERP is something which I know how to do. There were other questions that equally stumped me. It is unfair to us.
January 18, 2021 at 12:58 am #606451My 3rd fail. 44%. What’s your strategy?
December 11, 2020 at 5:59 pm #599518I prepared for this exam too and still found it extremely difficult. This was my third attempt and I am looking at another resit. Is this a fundraising strategy by ACCA? The more students fail the more money to resit and resite again and again. Who’s getting the money? ACCA! That’s what I think. Yes I am very frustrated.
March 8, 2020 at 6:09 am #564851You are kind. I have said it before the spreadsheet is primitive and wastes students’ time in that exam pressured situation. It DOES need improving. It puts students at a great disadvantage. Why not give it the straightforward functionality of excel?
March 8, 2020 at 6:03 am #564850I too got a huge negative npv in section c. Thought it was wrong too
March 8, 2020 at 5:59 am #564849I too was totally thrown by the adjusted SOFP. Did ACCA mix up some FR in there? Too much forex. Crap! And sections A and B? Lord have mercy! Just terrible
September 5, 2019 at 7:17 pm #545179This is not funny that after you have studied and practiced to come up against a confusing exam like those mcqs. SMH. Well ACCA! You outdone yoself. If I pass this it’s a miracle. Failing F7 FR for a 100th time? Wow.
September 5, 2019 at 7:12 pm #545177Q 31 was to do a correct disposal of Skien from Pine 6 marks
then do comparative for 20X9 to those for 20X8 4 marks
comment on ratios for 10 marks
Q32
Adjusted Profit 5
SOFP 11
Earnings Per Share 4September 5, 2019 at 7:08 pm #545174so am I to understand that the exam has different questions for different people? I got no consol SOFP.

March 8, 2019 at 4:50 am #508474Studying! Practising! Confident of a pass only to be faced with confusing, much too long exam questions way different from published practice material!!! Really?
I will liken whoever sets these exams to an imp rubbing his hands with glee because of the grief he/she will give to students.
Samba and Pirlo? And that long Section B Scenario!! Putting in irrelevant information to muddle people up in such a time pressured exam. Consider that people have to stare at a computer screen for 3 plus hours straight examiner!!!!!
And navigating that PRIMITIVE CBE thing in this day and age!
Best of luck on your journey all you stoic ones. Mine ends today. Time for my fork in the road. Goodbye to ACCA. I’m done with them. I feel lighter now. 🙂 NO MORE ACCA. BURDEN LIFTED. There are other education options that seek the best interest of students.
September 24, 2018 at 3:21 pm #475644Thank you.
June 9, 2016 at 11:14 pm #321784leaving to grandchildren means that IHT wouldn’t be paid twice on same estate.
If a man dies and his children are given all the inheritance, they pay IHT. When the children die, they pass estate on to their children and IHT is paid AGAIN.
So skipping one generation avoids this.

I was exactly like you second time got 45 third time got 41 and then I started to write. I did a lot, a LOT of questions I wrote what I knew and copied down from the answer what I did not. The writing helps to reinforce. I was able to get 64, 4th attempt. Don’t give up. Try again. Only don’t waste time studying books. Just do questionsDecember 7, 2014 at 12:01 am #219029lol I LOVE that suggestion. Marks for reading the paper. Wondreful. I totally agree
December 6, 2014 at 11:49 pm #219028Very tricky tommy
Advise this. Advise that. Lots of different little pieces of information – different scenarios to think about and calculate under pressure. F6 examiner was very unfair this time. Jus saying. If you are changing the way you examine, you cant do it with all the questions come on…. When I saw the paper I was mad. oh well there’s next time. - AuthorPosts
