I passed at first attempt with 51% (a couple of marks less and it would have been a very different outcome!)

This was my final exam and am really pleased there are no more! After every exam I used to go on these forums and see people saying stuff like ‘this is my last exam’ and now here I am saying the same thing! If you still have exams, I hope you will be saying it very soon.

I’d like to say a big thank you to OpenTuition and everyone who keeps the site running. I used the StudyBuddy section and got in contact (via Whatsapp) with others sitting the same exam. This helped me stay focused and I would recommend at least trying it.

I did not pass all my exams first time and to anyone who has failed, keep going!

I found the Value Chain question in Q1 iii difficult and Q1 ii hard as I just couldn’t think of anything that wasn’t there.

What did you guys put for Q4?

    Hi guys,

For Q1 i I put around 10 points. They were small points like, it does not look cluttered and the rounding is good.

It was very time pressured and I was not sure what to put to complete the table in question 4B.

I also made a big error in 2ii with ROI. I put it as Profit after Tax / Capital Employed. So my drawbacks were wrong also.

What did you guys put for 4B and 2ii?

    Thanks,

    Paddy

Passed first sitting. I studied very very hard for this one. Not gonna lie, I didn’t pass all my exams (so far) first time. This exam has a really silly low pass rate! If you fail, keep going. You’ll pass soon. Promise.

I got 65% at second attempt. (Failed first time). I feel awesome now!

For anyone who failed, don’t give up! Have some alone time to feel sad but then come back and move forward. It feels better to pass a resit!

58% at first attempt. Like everyone, I genuinely thought I had failed and was tempted to start revising for a resit a little while ago!

Thanks Opentuition. I no longer am with an employer who pays for me to go to college so this site has helped me loads! A big thank you to Chris Barlow for making (what I think is) a relatively boring topic and making it doable!

For everyone who failed, keep going! I haven’t passed all the exams I’ve done and probably will fail more but I will always keep going!

    Hey guys,

Q1 was ok but I did not do a variance analysis (not enough time to analyse the info, do calculations and write it up). Despite that – I spent far too long on part a (it was worth a lot of marks though – 24 I belive!)
But for b and c I did not write enough as I was behind schedule.

I then did 3A which was good as I knew Harmon’s matrix. 3B was decent also.

But Q2 was not good (for me anyway). I was low on time and panicked a bit.
Part A was worth loads and I didn’t write enough.
For B I squeezed out a sentence of anything I could think of for each of the 3 topics. Hoping to get a mark somewhere in that.

Sadly due to the last question I think it might be a second fail for me 🙁

How did you guys find Q2?

Best of luck in your results

Hi guys, I felt Q1 was ok but have realised I left out some key bits (probably to be expected from a consolidation question – just get the easy marks).

I then did question 3 which was ok. I was not sure about some things so just make some assumptions which seemed logical.

But question 2 was a disaster! I really did not know what to write. I ended up writing stuff about performance obligations which I am pretty sure is wrong but I had to write something!

Overall I believe I have got a high 30s/low 40s mark. I gave it my best attempt so will take some time away from exams then start planning revision for the inevitable resit soon.

What did you guys write for question 2?

Sadly failed. Got 46%. Gutted as I worked hard. Gonna have to resit in Dec.
