June 7, 2018 at 8:32 pm #457633Hey Guys and Girls
I wish everyone good luck for the F5 exam results.
I really struggled in this F5 exam paper.
I found it personally quite a weird paper.
Got a quick question. Can they possibly standardise the marks if quite a lot of students did poorly in the exam?
Thanks.
January 1, 2018 at 1:06 am #426908Hey guys
Have you sorted this out? I spoke to someone about this. The End of Module Test is locked if you have not spent enough time on each slide in each section in Foundations in Professionalism,
Make sure you spend enough time on each section.
Thanks
Jegan
December 21, 2017 at 4:51 pm #424351Passed F4 (English Variant) Today with 55%. Ecstatic!
September 2, 2017 at 11:26 am #405008Apologies, Sir John.
The Answer of $120 Credit was given in the LSBF Answerbook.
I got $160 Credit as my answer.
I was just a bit confused with the answer given in the LSBF Answerbook.
I can’t stand it when the Answers in the Answerbook are incorrect!
Well I guess mistakes happen.
Thank you for confirming my answer Sir and showing the working out.
Much appreciated!
Kind Regards
Jegan
August 31, 2017 at 6:39 pm #404722Thank you Sir. You have been exceptionally helpful.
I will be sitting my F3 exam shortly. Just got to master Statement of Cashflows and Consolidated Statements.
The other topics I am fairly confident with. I have done the LSBF Revision Kit 3 times and some BPP Revision Kit questions. Done one ACCA Practice Test and got 58%.
John, Sir have you got any tips for my final preparation of F3?
Thank you.

How did you fair in questions from BPP, Kaplan or LSBF Revision Kits?
I have not tried Becker before personally.

November 28, 2016 at 6:14 pm #352220Hey
I am sorry to hear that you didn’t pass F1. I would not worry about it if I were you. Personally I would make sure you understand the different theories in F1. There are so many theories and principles in F1. You have to try to master and memorise them. Be motivated to pass F1. Believe in yourself 🙂 You can do it! Try and do all of the practice tests that you purchased. Exam practice is important and definitely understanding the theories off by heart. I would recommend having a study buddy or someone so that you can test each other constantly and share ideas 🙂
I managed to pass F1 with 79%. I had doubts before the F1 exam but I managed to pull it off. It’s about being meticulous in one’s preparation. Leave no stone unturned and I am certain that you will do well!

The fixed production overhead capacity variance =
AHxSR = 24000 x (125000/25000) = 120000
BHxSR = 125000 (given in question)
Therefore the capacity variance = (AHxSR) – (BHxSR) = 120000-125000 = $5000 Adverse.
November 25, 2016 at 11:10 am #351385I would recommend watching John Moffat’s lectures on variance analysis on the OpenTuition website.
I have learned variance analysis also from LSBF notes. Here are material variances below:
Material variances:
SQxSP
AQxSP
Material Usage variance = (SQxSP) – (AQxSP)
AQxSP
AQxAP
Material Price variance = (AQxSP) – (AQxAP)
