    Hi Tafa2666,

Not a genius, just lucky I think! Partial exemption came up for me as I was hoping – because I work for charities, this is the only aspect of tax I really perform in my role at work!

I normally use Opentuition and BPP textbooks to self-study, but as they do not support P6 here I used the BPP books only for P6. The best advice I can give is to ensure you practice as many questions and mock exams as possible, as this is where I really learn the complexities the most, rather than reading the text. It clears up many areas of uncertainty for me. Also, do not be afraid to annoy those closest to you by asking them to test you on formulas and rules which are not given in the exam!

    Good Luck

    Hello,

If I refer to the same appendix more than once in my RAP, do I need to reference it everytime?

I am using an internal document on budget controls in my company for topic 1 and refer to it throughout my RAP. Do i need to put (appendix X) each time I refer to the document or is it sufficient to reference it the first time only and assume that the examiner will then be aware of where to locate it when it is referred to the next time?

I would also like to know the same regarding other references for information I have cited. For instance, I refer to some articles more than once in my RAP and am unsure if I need to reference them each time or if once per item is enough?

Any help would be much appreciated, especially given that I am only a few words from max count so the need to continually reference them would put me over the limit and require trimming elsewhere. Thank you

    Hello,

I am wondering if, when I cite an appendix the second time, I need to reference it again?

For instance, I am using an internal budgetary control process document as an appendix for topic 8 and mention this multiple times in the report. Do I need to refer to the relevant appendix each time or only the first?

Similar with the financial statements, which I refer to on more than one occasion and some ratios in other appendices?

Any assistance would be much appreciated here as I am trying to reduce my word count where ever possible now!

    Thank you in advance

86%! I was very worried about this paper and can’t believe I got this mark- I was sure there was a 15 point question I wouldn’t get any marks is on because I ran out of time!

    Hello Trephena,

    Thank you for your reply.

    1) I have obtained a letter of approval for the use of these documents and will include it as an appendix with them.

    2) Can I clarify please – by basic formulae, do you mean division/multiplication etc will be ok (and a sum function) or do you actually need to use excel functions such as vlookup/average etc for example?

    3) I do have a dozen + appendices currently. Could you advise on how these can be uploaded together? There are several PDF’s, word docs etc but they are clearly individual appendices. Should I group them – for instance, put 3 word appendices into one word document and just start each one on a new page, with a clear header giving the name and appendix number?

Thank you again for your assistance, it is much appreciated.

I agree. I found this really useful for F4 and F5 and now am preparing for my F6 paper I really miss this mock question feature. Is there any chance this will be added before the December 15 exam date? Thank you

    Hello,

Your qualifications, once gained, will not become void. If you leave the organisation you will no longer be a member but you would still be a qualified accountant and would still have a relevant degree.
