75%. That was my last paper. It has been 2 rough years but I am finally free. If you have passed APM you should have very little trouble with this paper
October 16, 2023 at 12:49 am #69337351%. First attempt. With how little effort I put in to the prep for this exam I am MORE than happy with that result.
Just SBL and I am done
July 17, 2023 at 6:31 pm #688416I understand failing at 49% is rough but I assume they had already used judgement etc to get to that point anyway
As for bumping anyone with 49 to 50, would that not make everyone aim for 49 as you were getting bumped to 50? That would be making the pass rate essentially 49 and then people at 48 could have the same gripe, why am I failing at 48 when 49 is a pass? I should be bumped to 49.
July 17, 2023 at 2:11 pm #688369I definitely think my technical knowledge was weak but the ethics and sustainability questions must have carried me through. It makes no sense that I passed this paper based on how I felt in the exam about ny knowledge
July 17, 2023 at 1:28 am #68815559% first attempt. I honestly have no clue how I passed this and I am expecting a follow up message to say they made a mistake
July 17, 2023 at 1:00 am #688147Scraped through with 52% on my first attempt which I couldn’t be happier with after the sly variance 18 marker
June 16, 2023 at 3:03 pm #687128Agree the variances were very unexpected compared to the general expectation of what kind of things you would see going in to the exam.
I don’t think it is as black and white as pass/fail when it comes to different variants of papers.
I think there has to be some form of analysis as to whether people performed better/worse dependent on the paper they received on the day and then potentially award marks to the people who had the more difficult variant.
Wouldn’t really be fair to give 50% of people a more difficult paper than the other 50% but mark in the same manner.
June 8, 2023 at 10:46 am #686477I agree it was a very strange exam in that the majority of things you would expect to see were nowhere to be seen.
June 7, 2023 at 8:56 pm #686414Lecturers I think I covered things like the things the Dean wanted to measure them on were beyond their own control. They couldn’t make a student log in to the Virtual Platform X number of times nor could they make them do X number of activities on the platform either.
It needed to be more related to things the lecturer could control otherwise the lecturer would be demotivated by an impossible target.
I could have been on a completely wrong path but it was generally that kind of thing
June 7, 2023 at 7:53 pm #686406I had budgeting, Variances, Joint Venture and a Private fee charging University.
Variances for 18 marks was very unexpected and I honestly didn’t think it would come up so barely did any work on them in the run up to the exam.
I spent far too long on Q1 and left myself with 70 mins for Q2 and Q3
Not sure how I will get on overall.
January 18, 2023 at 9:50 pm #676963I studied with Kaplan. Have you had a look at your exam feedback to see the breakdown of where you scored well and scored badly?
Section A I did badly a bit less than 50%
Section B I scored a bit less than 60%
Section C I smashed and got just under 80%
I tend to focus on nailing the section C questions during revision before I start focusing on the wider syllabus. In this exam, you’re more than likely going to get NPV or WACC or both. So they’re definitely worth putting some time into.
January 16, 2023 at 12:13 am #676210No idea how, but I somehow hit 62%
January 15, 2023 at 11:36 pm #676170This is the worst wait I’ve had. I’m usually OK. This has been torture
January 15, 2023 at 10:50 pm #676151Awful. I am pretty confident I failed FM, which is annoying as it is my last one in this block. I just want to move on to my final 4.
Unfortunately, life got in the way of studying in the run-up to December exams.
