I did the same as you. I had no tax for either company for first two years and still quite a big loss carried forward.

Can anyone remember any other answers? For q4 i deducted the 40k salaries from the 47k loss to make the loss 87k before spliting it 3 ways, no clue if tht was right. I then put 4 months into 18/19 and 8 months into 19/20?!

I did this as well for the losses and salary, and also put four months in 18/19 and 19/20. Then I carried back the loss three years as well for opening loss relief. Even if the figures are wrong, we still get follow through marks…I think?!

A request to all the finalists awaiting their final results, i’d be thankful to you guys if you can check this thread from first page till last, so that you can see what kind of mess you have made of this thread.

It was supposed to be a place where ALL those students awaiting their results, i repeat ALL those students, could relieve their stress by interacting with fellow students and discuss over not only their exams but other topics. It was supposed to be a healthy and stress-relieving discussion. Alas, you guys blocked all those attempts by keep posting the same nonsense we have been reading over a number of attempts and making this place a no-go area for non-finalists.

P.s. I regret starting this thread. I promise that when i will become a finalist, i will not act like this at all. I hope all non-finalists reading this post make a commitment too.
Praying for everyone to receive a pass come 14th.

    Totally agree with this.

For sure the hardest exam I’ve sat to date and came out of the exam so upset. Question 1 was Cash Flows and all a bit of a disaster. Question 4 on Taxes and the application of taxes was very cheeky. Style of exam was very different to Kaplan’s materials and ACCAs specimen and mocks they’ve published and also the September exam. Pretty much know now I’m going to have to resit in March 🙁

I’m just hoping the ACCA aren’t aiming for a scarily low pass rate for SBL, as is the case for other Professional Level papers.

    Keeping my fingers crossed!
