I did F5 both paper and cbe. i failed the cbe, primarily because i ran out of time.
I found it so difficult doing the working on paper, then typing them on the computer.
Then did the paper based exam and finished with 10 mins to spare. And passed.
For F5 i strongly recommend paper based exam because of the amount of workings!

Did the CBE exam and ran out of time because of the need to input all your workings onto the computer after writing them out on paper. I failed with 43%.
I rewrote the paper exam and finished the paper 10 mins early and passed with 58%. My advice to anyone who’s worried about time issues is to do the paper exam. Those big questions at the end of the exam are where the big marks are at.

Seems you’re right. I guess I reached my conclusion when I heard the moderator ask a fellow candidate who was sitting his F4 CBE whether he’s writing the English or Global variant. I did my CBE at Boston City Campus – Orange Grove.

    Hey man,
I’m in ZA too. I dont think there is a ZA syllabus. Only English or Global.
I’m doing the Global variant, which I think most people outside the UK do.
