can anyone who has taken f2 recently please give hints as to what the exam focuses on like anyani did in page one of this thread

Can anyone share with me how useful the specimen exams are in passing the really exam? I ready and forget easily perhaps because I do not have accounting background. Few days to the exam I still have some challenges. Can anyone advise me?

congrats, can you give any indication on whether the exam focused on any areas of the syllabus in particular or was it a general spread?

Thank you. Mine was more general.. But most of my class mates got different questions..
For example, I didn’t get any question on sampling, but some of my class mates did.. There is a variety of questions and you get allocated some randomly..
And Section B’s also vary..

So you really have to study every chapter..
There’s no gambling with ACCA.. 😉

I pass F2 with 72 marks.
In MTQ, my first question is doing flexible budget. Then second question is variance and third is performance measure.
Variance is hard in my exam. Need to buy practice test in myacca if u all have get a good mark…

just had today the f2 exam and passed with 68%… thanks to opentuition! without John it would have been impossible!

a suggestion for everyone: read opentuition notes beside to watching lectures. Practice Practice Practice! you should buy a revision kit. It is enough (I bought the bpp book, but it was too long and redundant. I took the chance to read a chapter swiftly only after having studied it on Opentuition notes + lectures)

Mine was cbe. Heavily covered area are for sure: Variances, budgeting (not cash and capital bdget), type of costs (I had a full exercise divided in three sections, based on the understanding among fixed, variable and semifixed, you have to be able to calculate them for different levels of activities.
Some questions for sure are on wpi, job or batch costing. Process costing was not in my exam. Moreover some qualitative questions (multiple choice) on random topics (sampling, performance, kpis..)

I passed F2 after attend 2nd time… Thank you so much… please teach how to do variance in backward because most of the question out likewise. its help those who going to take exam soon. Please consider my opinion and thank you so much again for open tuition.
