Passed 61% first attempt. Lots of past paper work. So happy to finally call myself an affiliate and know that my hard work has finally paid off!!
April 18, 2016 at 7:31 am #310928Passed with 55% first attempt, 1 more paper left to go. So happy right now!!!
April 18, 2016 at 7:29 am #310925Passed 1st attempt 54% so happy – 1 exam left to go!!
March 7, 2016 at 6:06 pm #304151I felt the P7 exam just didn’t offer enough time to write a quality answer. I believe I answered most requirements but not in the detail that I would have liked to given that there was so much scope on question 1.
I am expecting a fail due to a potential lack of depth to most answers, as I have noticed that a common examiner complaint is the lack of depth to answers by candidates, but who can blame them when you are rushing from one question to the next.
Oh well, wait and find out in April, until then it’s time to move on to P3 ready for Thursday – lets hope that is a little easier!! In answer to the above question re how many people were in your exam, my hall must have only had about 40 people in total and about 60% of them were sitting F8 rather than P7.January 18, 2016 at 7:25 pm #295968Passed with 50% first time! Was going to give up when I failed P1 in Jun 15 as I didn’t think I was capable of passing the P papers, now with only 3 to go I realise you just need to keep trying, accept that failure happens and never give up. Sincere thanks to Mike and Opentuition as I wouldn’t be able to do this without your help and resources!
September 23, 2015 at 10:03 am #273185Passed!!!!
September 23, 2015 at 7:05 am #273000As a first time submission I don’t have any results to view, or even a results tab on my portal. That gave me a heart attack as I then thought maybe my submission had failed!!!! Found the email confirming submission then found this thread, so now it’s just a waiting game.
September 23, 2015 at 6:39 am #272958So frustrating to still be waiting but at least I know it’s more people than just me!!!
August 1, 2015 at 4:05 pm #264422Thank you to everyone who has taken the time and effort to offer, advice, encouragement and support following my postings. This is my first fail at an ACCA exam and it has hit me hard.
I only use Open Tuition and BPP text/revision books as I am not supported by my employer to pay for course tuition.
I intend to give it some more thought tomorrow after the shock of today has passed, although the thought of not revising for the next 12 months is appealing! There is also a part of me that wanted the qualification so much, but I just need to work out if I am capable of achieving it before I throw more money at exams.
Thank you all ?
August 1, 2015 at 10:01 am #264211Thank you for the encouragement @dbsk1980 but I am only taking 1 paper at a time due to work commitments, whereas I expect you and many others are taking 2,3 or 4 at a time!! I gave this paper everything I had and I think perhaps the P’s are just a little bit out of my league!
August 1, 2015 at 9:48 am #264195Failed P1 with 46 marks. Looking at the pass rate it was obviously easily done if you are clever enough. Due to sit P2 in Sept but thinking of quitting, P1 is meant to be the easiest of all P papers so if I can’t do that what chance do I stand with the rest. Such a shame.
February 8, 2015 at 2:54 pm #226840Thank you very much to Opentuition and John Moffat. I received a 70% pass mark! couldn’t have done it without this website and the fantastic tuition from John. Time for the P’s now!
