Thank you for your help.
October 26, 2020 at 9:19 am #593142The main difference for me is Open Tuition teaches you what you need to know to pass, the other learning providers teach you everything. So it really depends if you want to get concise information which will help you to get through the exams quickly or all of the information which will require a lot more work but you will likely get a higher mark (not that marks really matter when it’s simply pass fail).

I honestly don’t remember but this thread might give you a good idea of what other people wrote: https://opentuition.com/topic/acca-paper-apm-september-2020-exam-was-instant-poll-and-comments/
I remember one person said they did a PEST analysis for the question, I thought that was a pretty smart approach.

University and Joint Venture questions were both Question 3.

I also have 2 exams left, I was sure I am going to pass the APM and I failed – considering the admin review but probably it is pointless. I do not understand what I did wrong on the exam and that makes me feel frustrated.<br> I guess that is what ACCA wants us to feel – so we pay for the recommended by the institution classes and materials. That also does not seem to be very ethical as ACCA recommends study service providers, and then we need to take an obligatory survey and tell them how we studied, which service provider did we use… That would be ok if it would be anonymous and maybe after the exam results are reviled, not before, that simply is not right.I completely agree with that. I don’t understand what their excuse could be for not returning our marked papers now that the exams have moved to CBE. Surely the markers have a platform where they grade it on and they could simply send this to us with our results? Would really help a lot of people to see where exactly they went wrong.

APM up 1% compared to March.

ACCA should be lenient with these strategic option papers and not fail people who are close to the pass mark!
Do you think you got the 4 professional marks, it could be as simple as making an extra effort to get those in the next sitting. I find the ACCA exams tend to come down to what topics they choose to include in the exam. I’m pretty weak at BSC and the 7S model but I knew a resit wouldn’t be too much of a worry if some of my stronger subjects come up.
October 19, 2020 at 9:31 am #590324For those who passed please don’t forget to consider making a donation to Open Tuition for all of their help. I will be at some point today.

I reckon most of those votes are just trolls. One guy in the comments of that thread claiming he received the email but failed but says he deleted the email. Seems a bit odd but I see not reason for anyone to lie about that so we must assume it’s true.
October 19, 2020 at 1:51 am #590082What mark did you get and have you completed any of the other options papers? I honestly found ATX fairly easy but it requires a lot of studying. It’s the sort of paper where once you get the basics down you can score some really easy marks and it’s a lot more calculations and rules based which is something I prefer.

However I am dyslexia and have extra time for the exam got interrupted so many time at one stage during my exam I got told that the security was leaving would you go down and collect your bags. They send out emails on diversity how is this been diverse and fair.
Have you complained to ACCA?
October 19, 2020 at 12:49 am #590009Two votes on received email but failed? Do we assume trolls unless they comment?
October 19, 2020 at 12:42 am #589998Passed with 63. I’m finally done with exams at the grand old age of 28. So happy.
October 19, 2020 at 12:31 am #589988Didn’t receive and passed 🙂
October 19, 2020 at 12:18 am #589969Didn’t receive the email and passed with 63. It’s finally over!
October 19, 2020 at 12:01 am #589942Nothing yet
October 18, 2020 at 11:53 pm #589922Good luck everyone. I’m prepared for it to say fail but here we go…
October 18, 2020 at 9:41 pm #589823I don’t drink for religious reasons but I’ve gone through a lot of cigs today. I actually quit after the exam thinking the stress was over.
October 18, 2020 at 4:37 pm #589729I’ve got no new emails from ACCA

Delighted if I pass all three but I did study 2hrs a day for 8 weeks and had a week study leave before exams. My main tip would be use online tuition providers if you’re relatively good at accounting because the videos make sense and you can progress the course quicker with understanding and require less detail ie huge books you don’t need.
It has been confirmed that if you got the email you have passed, congratulations!
October 17, 2020 at 3:03 pm #589551I passed ATX at the first attempt 2 years ago and then took a break before taking APM in September. If you really want to switch to ATX I’d suggest skipping the December exam period and sitting it in March as it takes a long time to cover the syllabus. Depends what you prefer, ATX is more calculations and rules based where as APM is more theory based.
October 17, 2020 at 1:42 pm #589522I don’t think posts are being deleted, I think the forum is just struggling to keep up with the number of posts. They always turn up eventually.
October 17, 2020 at 8:12 am #589438@jennie1984 That’s the only bit of hope I have to cling to now because I know they do send emails and texts out in batches on results day as people get them at different times. Sometimes I’ve got them 1 minute past Midnight and other times not until quarter past.
October 17, 2020 at 1:27 am #589400@ritaalbu Will be interesting to see if there are any who didn’t receive the email and passed.
October 17, 2020 at 12:07 am #589395@charlotte1995 It has been confirmed if you received the email you have passed, congratulations. For those of us who didn’t they’ve said it doesn’t mean we’ve necessarily failed but I think that’s just them trying to save face.
