@gabriel did they say yes to you? that’s weird cos i got a reply saying acca no longer issue printed version this yr so i hv to dloaded it myself.. if what they said to me is true then it’s kinda disheartening really considering student pay a significant amount of subscription fee every yr to them yet can’t even expect them to issue a decent copy of certificate..

i used gtg notebook for P1 and i didnt enjoy it at all. too elaborative like bpp, difficult to see the key points and lots of grammatical errors as well. i personally prefer kaplan notes. but gtg pocket notes always seems interesting with lots of pictures/diagram to help you memorise.

poll about increasing fee! there shouldnt be any increase in fee when ACCA can now saves a lot on admin by offering online results etc, plus they save cost in papers by making student magazine online now. so where does all these fees go?

if you are really on a tight budget, i would recommend to at least buy some exam kit.

revision kit – for me definitely Kaplan.

I’ve use Kaplan study text as well and I would definitely recommended it. I study at home and pass P2 on first attempt using their books.

I’ve used BPP for some of the F papers before and like you, I also think that BPP text is too elaborative. Probably more suits for people to get better understding in longer period of time or have assistance from a tutor but if you find it confusing like me, you might want to try Kaplan. Theirs is more straight to the point.

i think i face the same problem, although i have yet to give up on my acca study.. i managed to pass f1 to f9 all on first attempts cause the F papers give chance to both student that have strength in writng and analytical skills cause the papers would be the combination of the two. but i found myself really struggling to score for P papers, it is totally on the different level altogether. even though you are strong in analytical stuff but ifyour writing is mess than it’s really hard to pass the 50 % hurdle.

i took online course with kaplan for P2 and i personally dont think it is useful, opentuition lectures are much much better in comparison. kaplan online lecture only covers certain topics, i would probably say only half of the books so I found myself having to read on my own on the rest of the topics. not worth the money ive spent paid for the online course.

I find it helpful to follow the order as the former papers can sometimes help to understand syllabus in latter papers, especially if you are self studying, eg studying tax papers F6 help me understand tax element for DCF investment appraisal in F9.
But I’ve seen so many people choosing their own sequence and passed, so it still seems doable if you dont really follow the order.

God, i m not able to handle this boring topic.

you probably can try attempt the question straight from exam kit and make notes from there.. i didnt even read the topic beforehand cause the topic are complicated.. but once i tried the Q, it kinda make sense slowly..

what study text do you use for your study? do u stick with one publisher or change it when necessary? cause i know some people wud use either kaplan/bpp based on whether the paper is theoretical/calculation and such

69 and i am so glad!!
i was expecting higher mark for F4 than my F5, but turned out to be the other way around. but nvm, any marks above pass rate would make me happy enough!

thanks to OP lectures, they certainly helps me a lot in memorising the law cases 🙂
