Yes the paper was horrific! I was sure I’d failed when I left, luckily I did not.

Really unfair exam, not comparable to the past papers at all! The last Q Ebitda sucked and the whole paper was nasty! Booo to the team who wrote the paper!
And the exam results are out Easter Monday…bad timing!

I think it’s best to forget about it, sit back, have a nice Mojito and feel like you’ve passed until results day! Cheers!!!

We had technical problems in Watford 1:30pm sitting started around 4pm! I have 3 children under 7 (youngest is 1) so was very tiring and annoying to rearrange childcare!

Reading Dec-19 forum comments a lot of students thought they would pass but failed with results in 20’s. I assumed you get a mark per point made but reading the comments they said you get 1/2 per point made! Now feeling not very confident

Charlene, I made the mistake of concentrating on WACC and NPV quite heavily in first attempt (46%). Took a broader approach covering shares (EPS, Yield, etc), lease v buy, foreign currency risk etc in second attempt (61%). Also LOTS of Q practice on all those areas and make sure you know all WACC calcs inside out. Good luck

I know where I made a mistake and why I got pos NPV but I don’t think it makes much diff on marks…as I followed everything through.

DIPATIL – you are supposed to use cash flows not profit (profit fig exc dep’n) so you have to add back to get to cash flow

I had the NPV Question but I think I’m the only person with positive NPV so prob got it wrong. I added back dep’n and also the $50m scrap value. I also inflated selling prices.
There was a Q about probability analysis and risk etc too

The paper was a disgrace!! I had no WACC, investment appraisal, over trading Q, No big NPV question!! How can none of those come up as a big Q! The people who got investment appraisal got an advantage!

Oh gosh I didn’t even include learning rate! I literally copied it from an early question where they described the 3 E’s and then I just added some bits on relating to the hospital performance
