    Hi Kim,

I wrote the post in the link that you left for me. You may want to see if I didn’t go into too much details and correct it or shorten it if needed.
I hope someone may find it useful.

It is great to finally not to think about studying 🙂

    Hi Kim,

Thank you for the advise. I have passed third attempt 73%. I didn’t think i would as I thought the quality of my answer was much worse than prior times when i got 46,48% attempting only 2 questions but i was so focused on time that all I was worried about was to write anything in 3rd question.
Any way is done and dusted and I have applied for my membership finally:)

I have checked my email and didn’t get anything yet but I am based in Ireland and last session email was delayed.

    Thanks Kim again.

In relation to analytical procedures if I calculate ratios and YoY increase in % this normally would be kept at 1/2 marks per explained calculation. Is it capped in marks scheme too? my problem with the big question i never know how much explanation i need to give to get the marks cause the example answers are massive and don’t know what grants the mark as necessary to be included in the answer.

I just find that normally small questions are better presented in exhibits and are easier to follow and there is limited number of things that i can mention. In big question I just cannot stop typing cause I am worried that what i typed is not enough.

    Ah very stressed

I meant 1/2 mark for procedure if not explained well.

Thank you for your advise, I start with small question which normally takes me about 10 mins longer than should. Then I moved to the big question and this is where i get lost. Or more I find it very difficult to move on because I cannot cut myself when it comes about explaining standards or writing procedures as I know I am not good at explaining them and i count that i would only probably get 1/5 marks for it. I was mad at myself last exam because I run out of time when the last question was really easy like ethical and professional issues.. Maybe better strategy would be to start with small question then do even half of another small question and then move to the big one. I also found that when typing in stress I am making mistakes and then i waste time to correct them. Oh I will do my best to simply move on the questions.

Thank you Kim. Than I missed it for my December exam and I would expect something related to the article to come up but don’t think there was anything related to it although i didn’t see anything in the exam. I missed one full question though due to running out of time.

Thank you Kim, much appreciated. Is it possible to know when the article was uploaded? I don’t see any date details. I don’t remember reading the group technical articles and i have failed AAA twice.

    Back to study again 🙁

    Hi Kim,

I am reading the forum and think last week i got the same emails as i saw before about starting preparing for the exam that i have taken in December. This is my last exam. Unfortunately, i deleted the email as i thought it is a standard email they sent to sign up for March session but i guess it is not so i expect to fail. I have rang ACCA of course they have no evidence of this email being sent. So i think it is automated email that was sent prior the results being released.

It is my last exam and I am with ACCA 5 years but I am not impressed with what is happening in last year.

    Hi Heychi,

I still have F5 and F6 and awaiting F8 results so maybe 2 maybe 3 papers.
    How about yourself?

April, I feel like we’re twins here. Similar answers and same situation!

How many papers have you got left to take? I’m also unable to take more than 1 paper every 3 months. My plan is to go it alone until I’m part qualified and then seek an employer willing to support me through to the professional papers.

    Hi April,

My employer gives me paid leave for my courses as well as additional study leave. Therefore I have time to learn the course and study during my average working day.

I can imagine it is very hard with little support from your employer.

    Hi Courtney,

This sounds great. At least you can enjoy your holidays. Half of mine goes towards the two exams to be able to do it.
I wanted to push it and was thinking about taking exam in September but I am losing 3 weekends due to arrangements so it really would be only 2 months with full time job…
    Plus if I don’t even know if I passed F8 …
So I don’t think I can speed it up. It will take me years to finish it.

Guys how are you able to do two subjects in one session working full time at the same time?
I find it impossible time wise….
I only do one at the time. If I did 2 I am sure I would fail one so this means waste of money and time for repeating… plus I don’t get time off so it is covered with my holidays and it would be difficult to manage.

    Hi April,

I don’t think it’s feasible to expect everyone to have model answers because they won’t – so I’m sure people who passed didn’t always put model answers.

I just think with Audit, it’s hard to tell how well you’ve done because the answers people write may not even be answering the question, or may be an invalid point, or they may not have written enough points. Rather than be in limbo for 6 weeks, I always treat each paper as a potential re-sit till I see the results.

    Hi Heychi,

This is a valid point. Yes, I am waiting and this is problem because I am not able to start studying for the next paper till I have the results and this really slows me down as I am not able to use 4 sessions as I could.
We will have results only on the 17th of July and this will be way to late to start preparing for September session.

I am reading the answers and how most students thought the exam was ok. I compare my answers and I have to say I have more and more doubts that I managed to score this 50%. Especially when I read comments after March exam when people failed when they thought they would have passed 60% and people getting 60% after giving model answer. Also, a pass rage 38% shows this ok feeling after the exam is very misleading.

if these are correct that would be fantastic.
I answered the question about immateriality incorrectly. I recalculated it and I don’t know why I thought it was immaterial as I got over 1%.
Any way I stated it was immaterial and it would be unmodified report with the issue included in Emphasis of matter paragraph…. such an easy question, such a stupid mistake 🙁
