As per my knowledge and my tutor, linking models wont directly give you any additional marks. It only helps you to structure your exam. But sometimes it might also confuse you as models cannot be perfectly integrated to the given question.
Kaplan and other revision kits are trying to give a theoretical knowledge through their questions. Those are not exam type questions. Those questions wont come for exam (i think).
I prefer questions on past papers. Do it.Even im new to this, im writing SBL for this attempt for the first time. So consider my reply as a rookie one.
