Passed with 60%, now an affiliate. It’s taken 4 years but it’s finally over!
October 13, 2011 at 7:41 am #86211I was never worried about not being prepared enough because I put in lots of hard work to make sure I was successful.
I would recommend at least 30 hours of question practice for every module you are taking, and 40 to 50 hours would be even better. Be prepared to put the hard work in and you will get the rewards.
August 22, 2011 at 8:16 am #8666669%, a nice result

August 4, 2011 at 8:27 am #86205Hi
I sat F4, F5, F6 and F7 together and passed them all first time. It’s definitely possible, but it takes serious dedication and hard work.
I would listen to your tutor and do F6, F7, F8. On a scale of 1 to 10 I’d say taking on four exams is a 9.
June 23, 2011 at 12:06 pm #85524There is hardly any difference. I think the UK one makes more reference to the UK Audit Practicing Board (APB) but both follow the International Standards For Auditing (ISAs).
When you get to P2 and P7 you should consider which variant to take – if you wish to become a UK auditor and want to be qualified to sign off audits then you must take the UK variants at the professional level.
BPP suggest that international variants are the better option if you’re not sure, but for F8 it really doesn’t matter.
August 26, 2010 at 9:22 am #66325Reena, if we all had an extra 30 minutes the pass rate would surely have been higher. The time pressure was ridiculous, I finished F4, F5 and F6 with time to spare but could not finish F7 🙁
August 25, 2010 at 7:13 am #60445asmahmazlan: The college that I attend one day per week uses BPP. They review BPP vs Kaplan each year and decide which one to work from, so far it’s been BPP every time.
johnnyn123: You’re going to sit four Professional papers? WOW! I took on four at foundation level because a fair amount of it was building on what I had already learned at AAT. I’m planning to do 3 this year, followed by two then two and finishing in four years. You’re a braver man than me, I wish you the very best of luck 🙂
August 24, 2010 at 2:05 pm #60442Hi Orlab
I started studying back in December! Only a couple of hours each week at the most.
I think the total number of hours you put in (30 or more) is more important than the timescale you do them in though 🙂
August 24, 2010 at 8:22 am #66291I think it was exam technique that got me through. It took a long time to work through Qs 1-3, so for Qs 4 & 5 I just took the ‘easy marks’ that I knew I could score quickly. I think I got 6-8 marks from the last 2 questions and I passed with 55% so it was really close
August 23, 2010 at 1:51 pm #66970Starfish has hit the nail on the head – marginal fails are automatically reviewed twice more before they are issued. Don’t even bother requesting a review.
August 23, 2010 at 12:19 pm #60440Hi asmahmazlan
Thanks! Work experience helps, but not as much as you think – The knowledge I had gained from doing AAT beforehand was a lot more useful 🙂
Having others help when you are stuck is also great – if you plan to self study, stay close to opentuition and dont be afraid to ask!

I’m sure you’ll get it in December
August 23, 2010 at 9:24 am #60438Thanks!
I did approximately 30 hours worth of practice questions per subject in total (a lot of that during my study leave just before the exams), plus another 10 hours of reading and taking notes.
Three in Dec is certainly possible, but it takes discipline and hard work. My advice would be to make sure you get both Study texts and Practice texts, and always always do some practice questions after you’ve done a chapter in the study text.
Practicing as many exam style questions as I could was what got me through.
Best of luck to you
August 23, 2010 at 8:32 am #60436F6 – 67%
F4 – 70%
F5 – 72%
F7 – 55%Couldn’t ask for better really 🙂
August 23, 2010 at 8:27 am #6601570%, happy with that 🙂
August 23, 2010 at 8:26 am #6554272%, my highest of the 4 I took this June. Very pleased 🙂
August 23, 2010 at 8:25 am #6612267% and very pleased
August 23, 2010 at 8:23 am #6624255%! Lowest of the 4 exams that I sat, but it’s a pass and I’m delighted 🙂
August 13, 2010 at 11:48 am #62484Well I’ve looked through the answers and I still think I’ve done enough. Although saying so last time seemed to get me a lot of -p’s!
August 13, 2010 at 11:44 am #62870I’ve just looked through the answers… not so confident anymore 🙁
August 13, 2010 at 11:41 am #62734Having seen the answers, I’m fairly happy with F4. But we shall see 🙂 Roll on 23rd Aug!
August 13, 2010 at 11:37 am #63028I can’t remember what answers I gave 🙁
June 18, 2010 at 2:45 pm #62860I don’t even want to look at the question paper again. I may have to if I’ve failed, but I’ll have to wait and see for that 🙂
June 16, 2010 at 9:11 am #62963I’ve sat f4,5,6 and 7 this sitting and this was the hardest for me, even harder than F6.
I think a pass may be too much to hope for 🙁
