What are all the items we should include in our spreadsheets?

Hi.I have two queries

As information pack states to use 1000, 2000,4500 words in part 1,2 and 3 respectively but can we use some less words in part 1 and 2 and can utilise these words in part 3??

Is referencing also the part of word count. For example if we wrote profit increased by X amount for any Y reason(annual report)
As I have reffered annual report here so the annual report written here is also the part of word count?

Please kindly, can you answer one more question if possible, I promise not to bother you after this.

With regards to graphs. RAP guideline says that words containing in graphs will not be counted towards the word limit. So if the graphs are included into the main body of the report, the words will most likely exceeds its limit.
Q – Will be ok to have graphs as part of the main body of the report alongside explanation, or should it be included into the appendix separately?

Hello everyone,

I trust you are well, and keeping safe in this difficult time of Covid19.

I am working on Topic 8 for my OBU May 2020 submission. I have selected auto-motors USA industry with main company being Ford Motors for the business and financial analysis. As Ford’s competitor I have selected one company that is General Motors. I have following questions regarding my project.

Q1 – In terms of ratio analysis, I would like to discuss all particular ratios under one heading. For instance, all ratios regarding profitability would be discussed under one heading “PROFITABILITY” rather that talking through individually under profit margin/gross margin/ROCE.

Would this approach be appropriate according to RAP requirement?

Q2 – In order to maintain word limit, I am trying to discuss the compound trends over three years period in ratios rather than discussing changes between each year on year.

Is this approach reasonable to gain full available marks, or you must talk ratio trends year on year?

Q3 – I am comparing my chosen company Ford with ONLY one competitor General Motor along with industry trends.

Is one competitor SUFFICIENT for this analysis?

Q4 – Ford is USA based firm having operational activities of manufacturing, distribution and selling around the globe. But my analysis is being more geared towards USA automotive industry, with little focus on international industry level.

Do I need to discuss Ford’s positions on international industry level more or focusing more on US industry is reasonable?

2. Most challenging level 3 paper – SBL
3. Least challenging paper level 2 – F7 FR
4. Least challenging paper level 3 – P4 AFM
5. Resit papers – SBL ( MY ACCA JOURNEY WAS TOO SMOOTH UNTIL MY LAST PAPER WHICH WAS SBL, CLEARED ALL PAPERS IN FIRST ATTEMPT BUT IT WAS MY THIRD ATTEMPT FOR SBL AND NOW HOPING FOR PASS ON MONDAY…..FINGERS CROSSED)

In 2(a) i wrote if government does not
provide SUBSIDY it may affect the purchase of cars and secondly i wrote that there may be possiblity that there may not be sufficient CHARGING STATION which will affect the consumer decision to buy a car.. in 4 i interpreted as project manager writing a email to project team explaining the culture and leadership..so that the project team can understand the culture style and leadership ( for ex. Project manager encouraging project team member to came up with your own suggestions as the project progresses as it is the culture of jj that it values every suggestion of an employee

Did you remember how much asset beta you got as I approached the same way as yours

What was new market value of debt and equity you used..as I think for equity it was 100×15 and for debt I used 3 million ×mv of bondthen divided by 100

Can anybody tell me how we need to calculate beta asset. for first similar competitive company… I have calculated total ba of first competitor company…then it was said that it is engaged in two activity which 20 % similar to marte co and beta asset of its 80% operation was given so I calculated 20 % beta asset value of first similar company and second similar competitor has all the same activity so normally calculated beta asset by using formula and then added them both and divided by 2…..is I am right….????
