Hi,
have you looked in your Myacca, you might have to opt in, this is what used to happen before it was automatically added.
I’m presuming you have not passed F7 F8 or F9?
Hope it helps
March 8, 2011 at 11:57 am #79670Hi,
the 31 December deadline is for new students to register so that they can take exams in June. You are/will be already registered if you intend to take exams in December, I think the cut off is 15th August??. Once you have your exam results next February you will then be able to apply to sit exams for the next sitting.
Hope it helps

January 6, 2011 at 6:28 pm #75513From June all uk stream papers F3, F7 and P2 will use IFRS, so FRS’s and SSAP’s are no longer examined as such.
January 6, 2011 at 6:25 pm #75533Hi,
yes it is possible. However, P7 will be harder now as you are required to have the accounting standard knowledge of P2 not as it was F7.
You should get the most current books and see how you go and if needed look for good tuition. Try working with any study groups on Open Tuition, you will find yourself looking in to areas you may have overlooked otherwise.
If needed the cheapest class room (online) would probably be LSBF, the tutor is I’m told very good.Good Luck
January 6, 2011 at 6:18 pm #75747Hi,
provided you pass F7 then yes you will be able to sit P2 in June 2011. You will have to still pay for F8.
Good luck.
October 27, 2010 at 8:36 am #69797Hi,
not sure if this is any use anymore, its not from P3 but from 2.1. However it is from the same examiner.
Kind regards

I don’t think I would explain to the exam hall invigilators! I think I would find my desk and, when the invigilators come round and ask which version you want, just say “International”. If you explain to them, and maybe they have instructions not to issue other than the version entered for, then they cannot break those instructions. Pretend that you’re in the American army – “Don’t ask, don’t tell”Hi,
you are better to be honest with the invigilators, it has worked for my friends. The invigilators are not about to fail you before you sit the exam. When you sit the exams the papers are already on the desk you don’t get the option to ask for them, anyway they will cross reference to your exam docket which will state the variant.

look at the post lower down this page – started by Kankesh and answered by Salman – 1 week and 4 days ago.Maybe Salman can help you
Its too late to change on Myacca so the advice from Salman will not work anymore.
Good Luck.
October 24, 2010 at 10:34 am #69241Can you please help? I have entered the wrong variant for F7. The last date was 15th oct for exam registeration. Is there a way I can change it?
Many thanks
DipaHi,
its too late to change on Myacca, so you will have to ring the ACCA and see if they can change it. From friends previous experience I don’t think they will but it is always worth trying. My friends have had to go into the exam hall and ask for the correct paper, they were lucky and the invigilators changed it, they will for you too if they have a spare paper.
Hope you get it sorted.

October 21, 2010 at 11:11 am #69512Hi,
give ACCA a ring and see if they can change it for you. This may be chargeable as you are now past the exam entry deadline.
If all fails don’t worry when you get to the exam hall explain to them that you have entered for the wrong exam, if they have a spare int paper they will give it to you. I know of people this has happened too, so I know it can be changed.
Hope it helps
October 18, 2010 at 11:30 am #69448Hi,
you should receive the exam docket about 3 weeks before the exams. It will also be available on myacca to print if needed.
If you still do not have your acca student card then a passport or driving licence is fine for id, so long as there is a photograph.
My first pack containing my student card went missing and I had to request a second one.
Good luck with your exams.
October 6, 2010 at 10:40 am #68824Hi,
no the standards are not examined in detail but you can get marks by mentioning them. So long as you are aware the videos are for int variant you should be fine.
Good luck
October 5, 2010 at 10:30 am #68822Hi Nicola,
the audit standards used in the int and uk variants are the same IAS standards. The difference with the 2 variants is in the accounting standards used, uk uses FRS and SSAP where as the int variant uses IFRS etc.
Are you aware that this December sitting is the last using the uk standards, next June the uk variants use IFRS?
Hope it helps
September 26, 2010 at 4:15 pm #68648Hi Plen,
make sure you change your password so your lecturer can not select your next set of papers, otherwise you might find yourself entered for 4 papers again.
September 13, 2010 at 11:13 am #67803Hi,
while you are still a student you will only be allowed to pass 2 options. Once you are an affiliate/member you can request to sit additional options, the normal one to be requested is P7 as the audit paper is required for a practicing certificate.
Hope it helps
September 10, 2010 at 10:47 am #67846Hi,
OT to my knowledge has never done notes for F7 uk only the int stream.
Good luck with your studies but are you sure you want to go ahead with the uk variant, you will have to change for P2 anyway?

Hi,I have booked in to do the tuition courses at Kaplan- so i will get given Kaplan text books. I have not used Kaplan before- anyone know how it differs to BPP? ANy preferences?
Also – i keep seeing books on the Kaplan website for June and December 2011- does the sybllabus change from June 2011???
Thanks
Hi,
yes, you get the books with your Kaplan course, with the tuition class you should get a text book, a file with course notes (an abbreviated text) and a link for an en-gage version of the full text online. With the revision class you get the exam kit and pocket notes and some online en-gage material.
I have used both Bpp and Kaplan, Kaplan wins hands down, I would not use Bpp classes again, gave me nightmares. Kaplan was much more relaxed and made it seem more achievable (P2 and P6).
Yes, as answered by Ansi the syllabus does change next June.
Hope it helps
September 9, 2010 at 9:42 am #67528Hi,
for new material go to Kaplan or Bpp. There may be some for sale on ebay.
Just so you know there is only 1 sitting left of P2 uk using FRS/SSAP, next June the uk stream will use IFRS. I would recommend doing the Int stream instead.
Hope it helps
September 7, 2010 at 4:13 pm #67821I agree with aadzer, you will find a fair amount of overlap between P3 and P5.
September 2, 2010 at 12:38 pm #65175@werty said:
You can enter for F7, P2, P5 and P7 all this time. You can even not turn up for the F7 exam – so long as you have paid the exam entry fee. Just turn up for P2, P5 and P7 ( though why you would want to do that defeats me! )Theoretically – unless ACCA can find a way to prevent it happening, you can leave F7 until the very last paper!
It is not possible to sit P2 before F7, they are on the same day and you will not be offered P2 until you have passed F7. Also if P2 is not offered you will not be offered the options (unless you are exempt from the progression rules).
September 2, 2010 at 10:02 am #67621Hi,
it depends on how many exams you still have to take. If P3 and the options are your last exams then you can take all 3. If you have an F and P1-P3 to take then you will have to take them first up to a maximum of 4 papers.
Have a look on your myacca as this will show which exams you can sit in December.
Good luck.
August 29, 2010 at 12:17 pm #67315August 27, 2010 at 12:21 pm #67021Hi,
I did 2.5 uk (F7) and have just done P2 int. I thought I would find it difficult to change streams but they are not that different. The balance sheet/statement of financial posistion is different, liabitlies are on the bottom of the IFRS version and top of the FRS version. There is more to goodwill and some other minor differences but overall its the same.
You are definitley doing the right thing by going over to the int variant. This Dec is the last sitting of the uk streams F3, F7 and P2) using FRS/SSAP, next June they will use IFRS.
Hope it helps and good luck!
