    Hi,

from what I understand you will not be offered any of the options until you have passed f7. As P2 is blocked from your choices so are the options.

I would therefore concentrate on passing f7, once you have done so P2 and the options will be available to you.

Are you exempt from the progression rules? If so you can sit the P’s in any order

You can enter for F7, P2, P5 and P7 all this time. You can even not turn up for the F7 exam – so long as you have paid the exam entry fee. Just turn up for P2, P5 and P7 ( though why you would want to do that defeats me! )

Theoretically – unless ACCA can find a way to prevent it happening, you can leave F7 until the very last paper!

On the basis you can enter 4 exams each session, why not enter for all 4 and then see where you are up to with your learning in the first week of December

It is not possible to sit P2 before F7, they are on the same day and you will not be offered P2 until you have passed F7. Also if P2 is not offered you will not be offered the options (unless you are exempt from the progression rules).

You are correct of course – I’d forgotten P2 and F7 were on the same day!

to the extent i know , before attempting core papers u cant opt for optional , any way for p7 i think p2 is as much necessary like oxygen (ias 24 , ifrs 8 ,ifrs 2 etc) these standards are only in p2 regarding which u have to understand audit procedures so do go for p2 first
