June 7, 2022 at 5:46 pm #657730I was sitting in the morning and had different questions too.
June 7, 2022 at 5:56 pm #657734Afternoon exam
June 7, 2022 at 5:58 pm #657736Did anyone experience technical issues? I could not finish the exam.
The system froze four times, and after the last one, it did not allow me to join.June 7, 2022 at 6:01 pm #657737I felt more like general paper
June 7, 2022 at 6:07 pm #657739I also had YBC same questions. Didnt think it was a fair paper. Nothing like past papers .
June 7, 2022 at 6:08 pm #657740Hey.. I had some technical issues my screen froze in the last 15 mins and I was not allowed to write anything
June 7, 2022 at 6:17 pm #657741YBC as well, but different questions:
– the difference between YBC and commercial subsidiary
– leadership styles
– claims and interests of different stakeholders
– machine learning
– Internal Report
– are the current KPIs are in line with the missionDoes anyone remember the rest of the questions (more details)?
June 7, 2022 at 6:29 pm #657744I had the morning exam about the commercial subsidiary and leadership styles.
What did ye say for each answer?
Must of the sub tasks were 8 marks so 4 headings and 2 sentences under to get marks is it?
June 7, 2022 at 6:49 pm #657746Task 4 if im remember correctly its :-
(I) the stakeholders claim and interest, how to manage them (10marks)
(ii) how the internal risk report could improved the stakeholders confidence and what’s the benefits on increasing stakeholders confidence (8marks)June 7, 2022 at 7:17 pm #657752I sat the morning session and had YBC question but nothing about ethical and sub committees.
I think question 3 was KPIs and how these related to their mission
Q4 can’t remember what part A was about but part b was the benefits to stakeholders if they published internal controls.
Not a great paper. Not many models that you could have used to format answers which made it harder to structure answers.
The markers will have a great laugh correcting the dribble I wrote 🙂
June 7, 2022 at 7:49 pm #657755Tricky paper indeed…nowhere near past ones….
June 7, 2022 at 8:19 pm #657762I found this paper hard, didn’t feel like a used the exhibits much and no models. Don’t think I wrote nearly as much as I should have
June 7, 2022 at 8:28 pm #657763.
June 7, 2022 at 8:42 pm #657766Did anyone feel like they couldn’t come up with enough points to discuss the questions based on the exhibits?
As in there wasn’t much info to work with and it was so separate from the questions being asked (I couldn’t even use the info about the 50% NEDs in any of it, the machine learning Q felt like a deceptive segmentation question – pls tell me I’m not wrong lol)
i.e Comparisons and contrasts between commercial and a public co. governance was 12 marks. How do we come up with 6 well developed points tied to the case (without sounding too general) when there wasn’t much to work with structure of YBC?
June 7, 2022 at 9:03 pm #657783Afternoon session. The paper was quite hard and I tried to rush but barely finished. Don’t think I used a lot of the exhibit either, my answers were just pulling from general knowledge and trying to apply them to the scenario. Definitely didn’t use model, apart from the internal and external factor driving change/to consider when implementing change.
Quite sure I’ll pass but barely.June 7, 2022 at 9:07 pm #657784Did Anyone got other than YBC Co question
June 7, 2022 at 9:27 pm #657788What models did you use for those 2 sections?
June 7, 2022 at 9:27 pm #657789.
June 7, 2022 at 9:32 pm #657792Yes, I felt the same. Felt my points weren’t developed enough to get marks, I was struggling to try and use ‘something’ from the exhibits. I failed to make the generic specific. The only models I used were the mendelow matrix for the stakeholders claims and interests and POPIT for change management but against found it hard to be specific.
I also talked about customer segmentation elements for the machine learning. Again hard to come up with 8 full marks.
Hopefully they will go easy on us ?
June 7, 2022 at 9:33 pm #657793What did everyone write for the last 4b to recommend how finance function could improve relationship with budget holder? Monthly meeting?
Also what were the ethical issues for 3a? Name the ethical issues and recommendations. FD was window-dressing annual reports and about internal audit and Mr x
June 7, 2022 at 9:44 pm #657795I took the SBL 5th time. I will not pass again. I do not know how to pass this exam. I study for it more than 2 years. I was out of time again. Please help me
June 7, 2022 at 9:47 pm #657796I also got the YBC exam, the first question took a while to wrap my head around but after that it was pretty fair, found a lot of the hints to the answers in the exhibit.
Do agree with comments here, it was a very unusual exam that’s for sure!
I found there was a lot of information especially in the second and third exhibits that had lot of irrelevant information regarding the programmes etc.. can’t say any of the questions related much to these exhibits, or maybe it’s just me!
