Q2. Corporate Failure-Argenti
Q3. BPR, ERPS, Appraisal systemSeptember 8, 2021 at 7:09 pm #634965Simone wrote:Q1. Benchmarking, performance dashboard
Q2. Corporate Failure-Argenti<br>Q3. BPR, ERPS, Appraisal systemI had this with also how performance would be improved using cloud… but the cloud led you to an outsourcing company looking after your IT/ecommerce
September 8, 2021 at 7:43 pm #634973I had the same exam it was not bad at all hoping for a pass
September 9, 2021 at 9:30 am #635060It was a disaster for me.
Never really understood the first question so I ended up spending too much time on it.
Never really understood why a company would try and decrease the GP margin by trying to add stuff in cost of sales.
I never understood why there was a note about inventory write-downs but it wasn’t included in the report. Maybe my mind wasn’t there.. hoping for the best thoughSeptember 9, 2021 at 12:08 pm #635080I didn’t understand the BBM question, what did people write?
September 9, 2021 at 12:40 pm #635081What question was this?
September 9, 2021 at 12:42 pm #635082My exam was:
Q1) Benchmarking, performance dashboard, cloud computing
Q2) Corporate Failure-Argenti, cons of using a qualitative model to predict corporate failure
Q3) BPR, ERPS, Appraisal system, employee turnoverExam felt fair, this is my third time sitting it and by far the nicest one yet. Really hoping for a pass!
September 9, 2021 at 1:01 pm #635090I had the same – 3rd time sitting and this was my lucky exam but well aware, I didn’t have time to go into the required depth on Q3, so pretty sure I’ve flunked the exam yet again….real shame, back the drawing board me thinks!

I had the same questions. It was fair has to be said but at the same time there was a lot of repeat statements I made. I.e for ecommerce, Erps, BPR there were similar issues with efficiency, reliability, security etc.
I didn’t do justice to question 3 either which is a regret.
A lot of easy marks I missed in ques 1 about the IT system issues part.Argenti a score I wrote about limited scope, subjective, historical data used but my concern I may confused this with corporate failure quantitative model
September 9, 2021 at 3:30 pm #635138Time management is by far the hardest element of this exam – there’s just not enough time to produce a thorough answer on every question! I was really brutal with myself on this sitting, being my third attempt, I allocated time to each question and stuck to it – otherwise I wouldn’t have reached the end of the exam.
Got everything crossed for everyone, good luck!
September 9, 2021 at 3:58 pm #635143Same as your one….no luck this time as poor time mgt….
Q1
18 for performance report : Quantitative10 for performance report : Narrative (commentary of the performance report)
8 for operational gearing and implication
10 for quote “what gets measured gets done”
Sub-optimization
Myopia
Tunnel vision
GamingQ2
15 marks on BPR
10 marks on Reward system for employees
Q3
15 marks on Building blocks model (4 determinants)
10 marks on unified corporate system
September 9, 2021 at 4:25 pm #635150The operational gearing I messed up on.
4 headings under “what gets measured, gets done” was a little tough.Struggled to write 15 marks worth on 4 elements of the building block though.
Rest was ok to be honest.Sure you’ve done well !
September 10, 2021 at 5:50 am #635221What was your approach regarding the reward system for the drivers in question 2?
September 10, 2021 at 9:36 am #635258Just made points around the standards and rewards of the building block, achievability leading to motivation, ownership leading to clarity etc.
Bonus was based on customer satisfaction, maybe factors outside the control of the drivers, was 85% realistic ? and where did that figure come from, what was the current level ?, plus surveys are subjective.September 10, 2021 at 9:48 am #635263Ok talked about ownership, achievability ,clarity but ran out of time so was not too analytical about 85%..
September 10, 2021 at 10:07 am #635264How did you find the building block question for 15 marks. Felt like there wasn’t 15 marks worth to say with only using 4 determinants.
September 10, 2021 at 10:59 am #635269Totally agree. That 15 marker on the 4 determinants threw me off.
September 10, 2021 at 11:21 am #635270My approach on the reward system was evaluating the customer satisfaction standard against the building block requirements for standard and rewards. I discussed about ownership, achievability, and fairness of the standard and the clarity, controllability and motivation of the reward.i am not sure if this will make sense to the Examiner!
September 10, 2021 at 11:33 am #635273Question 1 “what gets measured ,gets done”..i was ok with gaming, myopia and tunnel vison but not sub-optimisation..
I was ok with operational gearing and explaining what it is all about and linking it to scenario and put formula Contribution/PBIT but dont know what possed me to get the gross profit figure from appendix 1 and uses it as a denominator instead of PBITSeptember 10, 2021 at 6:25 pm #635384bkpanigrahi wrote:How was it?
I think my exam went really well. I was really confident about it .
But for some reasons by no means I can remember the question of (rewarding system ) I don’t even remember did I answer it or not .
Now m afraid ?.
Is it normal to forget completely about a question what I answered in the hall .
Coz I don’t think I left any question unanswered .strangely now I can’t remember - AuthorPosts
