Hi all,
I’m new to ACCA and need to sit F7 and the P papers.
Just wondering what ye would think of sitting F7 and P2 together, as P2 builds on F7?
Thanks for your help 🙂
January 23, 2012 at 6:54 pm #92797I dnt thk u r allowed to do that. and since u r new to ACCA I thk its better for u to spend time on ACCA site
January 26, 2012 at 12:51 pm #92798I think that it is possible; I’m assuming you have exemptions from all the other F papers?
I think sitting F7 and P2 in the same sitting is an excellent idea and will benefit you greatly.
I’d say about 80% of P2 is F7.
January 26, 2012 at 2:10 pm #92799Yup I have exemptions from the other F papers.
I know it used to be the case that you had to pass F7 before you sat P2, as they used to be on the same day. But that’s changed now and I can’t see anything on website about having to pass F7 before I sit P2.
Thanks for that Spencerli… have you sat both these papers already? I haven’t gone through the syllabus properly yet but I’m guessing there’s an overlap of topics but P2 is harder?

o yeah u sure can enter for F7& P2 on the same session. I confirmed this with ACCA before entering for my exams and the website allowed me. I have paid for my exams too.. studying hard now!
Good Luck.

Good to hear the positive comments, im sitting both myself in June so will take confidence from this.
March 7, 2012 at 5:34 pm #92803Spencer reckons that about 80% of P2 is in F7.
Hmmm. I think P2 is SUBSTANTIALLY harder than that!
But, yes, there is overlap and, so long as you have either passed, are exempt or have entered for the other F level exams, then you are able to enter both – June 13 for F7 and June 19 for P2
