Hi,I think I found out that remeasurement of previously held interest of Mixted (10mil to 15mil) was not recognised to RE. Am I wrong or bpp just disregarded it??
Hi,
It is a bit of a trick because Bravado holds the investments at FVTOCI, and therefore the investment will already have been recognised to fair value at 1 June 20X8, with the gain taken through OCI. Therefore we do not need to make any further adjustment.
Your understanding is correct though in that any change in fair value is recognised in the fiancnial statements, and usually through retained earnings.
