Please, when we are calculating the consideration elements such Contingent consideration in the costs of investment , do we discount the contingent cash flow to the PV among other consideration elements and unwound the discount which is to be credited into NCL?
Or we ignore it and just add the fair value of the contingent consideration and add it to subsidiary net asset so we can calculate the Goodwill figure?.
I really have not found any questions were the accounting treatment is given.

Hi,
Yes, the contingent and deferred consideration must be at present value, and unwound each year. Of the two the deferred consideration is the one that has been seen the most in previous exams.
