    Hi
    I have started FR today and i just want to ask you- Do we need to know Journal entries?
    I am really struggling and i have just started and started feeling demotivated already because its so complicated. I got exemption for FA so i don have any assumed knowledge,
    What advice do you give on this?

    Hi,

    You don’t need to know them as they’re not usually required in the exam but a knowledge of them is hugely beneficial. At the end of the day you are studying an accounting qualification and a knowledge of double entry bookkeeping is essential.

    Don’t get demotivated, if you have an exemption then you’ve done bookkeeping already and are just a bit rusty so persist with it and it will all come back to you.

    Thanks for getting back. Just a little suggestion from you sir if you dont mind, i have failed my AA exam and i am resitting AA in march and before my AA result i had a plan to sit my FR exam as well but when i started studying Fr i found this very hard and FR asks more time as its more practical based, Can FR be prepared in one month considering that i am resitting AA in march as well , Also Does FR suppose to be done before AA?

    Hi,

    I think it will be a challenge and personally I’d ensure that I pass AA before I then go on to attempt anything else. You don’t want to fail it again.
