Sir, isn’t the following 2 deficiencies of internal control system?

1)Payroll standing files are sent to department managers on quarterly basis for review
2)Hours worked are entered onto a pre printed payroll sheet by wages clerk

    2) Sir as hours worked are entered onto a pre printed payroll sheet by wages clerk, so input by a clerk isn’t this a deficiency? Clerk may be inxperienced

1)Payroll standing files are sent to department managers on quarterly basis for review, but it has been after every 3 months so again isn’t this a deficiency?

Someone has to do it. It is a simple task; what else would a clerk do?

Standing data files hold data that should not change frequently: wage rates, employees’ addresses, tax codeetcs. Reviewing once a quarter is good. Many companies would do it only once a year.
