Sir, isn’t the following 2 deficiencies of internal control system?
1)Payroll standing files are sent to department managers on quarterly basis for review
2)Hours worked are entered onto a pre printed payroll sheet by wages clerk
Why?
Sir please explain me these 2 are not deficiency? Also standing files are sent to department managers for review on quarterly basis instead of monthly basis
You explain to me why you think they are deficiencies.
2) Sir as hours worked are entered onto a pre printed payroll sheet by wages clerk, so input by a clerk isn’t this a deficiency? Clerk may be inxperienced
1)Payroll standing files are sent to department managers on quarterly basis for review, but it has been after every 3 months so again isn’t this a deficiency?
Someone has to do it. It is a simple task; what else would a clerk do?
Standing data files hold data that should not change frequently: wage rates, employees’ addresses, tax codeetcs. Reviewing once a quarter is good. Many companies would do it only once a year.
