I would like to start by saying that I am enjoying the P2 lectures so far. I am currently just starting on Chapter 15 after completing the previous chapters.
I passed my F7 in December after a mighty struggle and I am now pushing myself to sit P2 in March while I have knowledge fresh in my mind.
I have the time to study for this exam but I am a bit concerned regarding technique as I think this was my downfall with F7 previously. Can you give any advice to someone like myself in regards to passing this exam without a paid for course or do you just advise to attempt the questions and ask on here when stuck?
This is my first attempt at a P paper and I would appreciate your advice/opinion.
Thank you.

Congratulations on passing F7, if you found it a struggle then you’re doing the right thing by doing P2 now. Everything you’ve learnt will be fresh in the memory, which will hopefully make P2 a bit easier.
I’d definitely work through the class notes in full, but also I’d recommend that you work the questions/examples from the study text that you are using. They give you the opportunity to check how much you’ve understood and where more work may need to be done.
Once you’re comfortable with the essential knowledge then you can start the past exam questions. Don’t leave doing these until too late as they are a challenge, particularly the written aspects, so the longer you give yourself the more you will see what needs to be done. I think for the consolidation you’ll do well as the F7 knowledge is still there.
A small tip early doors is to not leave out the ethics section from the first question. It is usually pretty straight forward and some very easy marks are available.
Thanks and good luck. Any questions then you know where we are.
