There are three processes 1, 2 and 3 , DAILY HOURS AVIALBLE FOR P1 ARE 22 HOURS, P2 ARE 22 HOURS AND P3 ARE18 HOURS. TIME FOR one unit of X IN P1 IS 1 HOURR, P2 IS 0.75 HOUR AND P3 IS1 HOUR Time FOR one unit of Y IN P1 IS 0.75 HOUR, P2 IS 1 HOUR AND P3 IS 0.5 HOUR
Daily demand OF X IS 10 UNITS AND OF Y IS 16 UNITS what the bottleneck process? kindly help
The time needed in P1 is (10 x 1) + (16 x 0.75) = 22 hours The time needed in P2 is (10 x 0.75) + (16 x 1) = 23.5 hours The time needed in P3 is (10 x 1) + (16 x 0.5) = 18 hours
It is only P2 where there are not enough hours available, and so P2 is the bottleneck.
