Is it allowed to write with a pencil rather than with a pen on the exam? Often I realise that the space to write labels is not sufficient and need to move the numbers further to the right.

This is a question for ACCA. I think you can write in either. Just follow the instructions on the front cover of the answer booklet.
Don’t worry about labels and moving the numbers to the right, you’re wasting your time. Just focus on getting the answer right instead.
