    Hello

    2 quick questions.

I’m intending on sitting the UK variant, though with the changes being introduced I’m not too sure if it’s worth it.
With regards to the notes and the lectures, what else do I need to look over to be prepared for UK variant?
Also I have BPP study text and practice and revision kit, it says international and UK til August 16. Is this still suitable for the March exam?

    Many thanks
    Michael

    Hi,

You’d need to understand any differences between UK and IFRS. There could be other areas too but you’d need to check up on that yourself, I only focus on IFRS these days.

If it says until August 2016 then it will be under the slightly older syllabus. There haven’t been any major changes to the INT version so presumably is would be similar with the UK variant materials.

    Thanks

    Thanks for the quick response.

Do you see any need to do the UK version?

I don’t see my future being in audit but also don’t want to close any doors. With changes due in 2017 will it even matter if I have passed UK or not?

    Thanks again
    Michael.

You’re welcome. There’s no particular need to do the UK version, especially if you don’t plan on working in audit. I’d recommend that if you sat F7 under UK then sit P2 under UK. If you did F7 under INT then sit P2 under INT.

Hope that helps a bit more.

    Thanks
