ACCA F4 (ENGLISH) questions [ *** please advise *** ]
hi everyone
please advise when when I answer knowledge based questions and give as example names of cases, do I need to tell what happened in the cases or it is enogh just to tell the case names. Thank youI have referred to some model answers – they write brief description about the case. So I guess that helps and is the way to answer!
Read Mike’s article on F4 exam technique – he says that it’s not necessary to know the name of the case nor the story behind the case. What is important is that you remember the principle of law which the case is illustrating.
He says it’s good to know the case name – if you can remember it in the exam – or even the name of just one of the parties. But the story is not relevant for F4 exam success. You may find that you have to say something like “In the windmill case ….” if you can’t remember Hadley v Baxendale
