Hey
I just sat for F7 and I have started studying for P2 at college to attempt in September
The syllabus will be changing for the September 1st exams though so I would like to know what these changes are.
Acc. to ACCA they say
“RATIONALE FOR CHANGES
ACCA periodically reviews its qualification syllabuses so that they fully meet the needs of stakeholders such as
employers, students, regulatory and advisory bodies and learning providers
The study guide has been updated to reflect the issue of IFRS 16 Leases. Other than this standard ,there are no
additions to or deletions from the P2 INT syllabus for the year from 1 September 2017.
The syllabus must be read in conjunction with the Examinable Documents list. The changes for the
year from 1 September 2017 affect the list of exposure drafts and discussion papers that are
examinable.”Could you kindly inform me on what the change to leases would be?
Secondly, what does the final paragraph means?
“The syllabus must be read in conjunction with the Examinable Documents list. The changes for the year from 1 September 2017 affect the list of exposure drafts and discussion papers that are examinable.”?Thanks!
January 15, 2017 at 9:44 pm #366823Hi,
There is a new standard on leases so it sounds like it will be in the syllabus from September 2017.
The final paragraph means that the Examinable Documents list will change too, in order to reflect the new leases standard and also to reflect the most up to date exposure drafts and discussion papers that will be examinable.
Thanks
January 16, 2017 at 6:05 am #367269Could you kindly explain the change in standard?
January 17, 2017 at 2:24 pm #367936Er, why don’t you find the standard and work through it and if you don’t understand it then ask. Once the changes come into effect the notes will be updated but until then they will not be updated.
Thanks
