    Hi,

I was too busy at work to study my project in detail in the light of the feedback I received. However when I revisited my work, one of the objections I received in feedback document is actually wrong. The marker says:

… and there is some apparent misinterpretation of the figures you are presenting. For example on page 15 you say that “In 2016, Rio Tinto’s figures declined further by 3%” yet the -3% revenue shown for 2016 represents an improvement on 2015’s revenue.

The market is actually incorrect here because the revenue actually declines in 2016 and there is not improvement over 2015’s revenue. This may be verified by looking at the actual figures of revenue in the Excel sheet in my submission.

Could you please recommend what actions should I take. Is it too late to challenge the result?

    Thanks

No it should never be too late to point out inaccuracies. Email extracts from the report, company annually report and the marker feedback to the address in the Info Pack.

They always try to wriggle out of appeals by saying you are challenging academic judgement. So stick to facts and say it it was not marked in accordance with facts and the assessment criteria.

There have been some grave mistatements by markers in P38 and students have a right to have these addressed.

Thanks a lot @gillianm I sent an email and got reply that my appeal has been forwarded to appeals officer. I listed out all the feedback points with my comments against each one. It seems my work wasn’t read carefully and in full because some of the things marker says I missed are actually clearly stated in the lines immediately following the examples quoted in the feedback.

Right now I am more worried about whether I should go ahead with re-submission in P39 since the deadline is approaching. Hope they refund me in case I resubmit and then my appeal succeeds. Fingers crossed.

OMG it seems my appeal succeeded coz I received an email basically saying they will remove fail grade from my RAP and it will take some time to update in the system.
