the management representations which the auditor ask from the management when collecting audit evidence is the same as written representation (ISA 580)??

November 30, 2010 at 4:02 pm #72067Management representations no longer exist! They were re-named by the clarity project and are now called “written representations” In fact, oral representations are ( as we used to say in Manchester ) “not worth the paper they are written on”

@maazqarni the correct term is “more reliable source of information”March 6, 2015 at 12:11 pm #231482I’m not sure that that would have cost maazqarni a mark. I sincerely doubt that the markers would be so pedantic as to insist upon such precision, but thank you for your input
