HI, im just starting ACCA December will be my first exam. I have been exempted from F1-F4 papers since I have a B.Sc in Accounting. However I wasn’t, by any stretch of imagination, the best student in my class.
I work in a bank (8am-5pm) and I plan to take F5 and F6. How many hours of studying do you think it would require to get sufficiently prepared for both exams? Do you recommend taking both exams
Thank you..

i am appearing for F5 in December which is my first ACCA exam attempt as well.I have exemptions for F1-F4, F6 and F8
I aim to study on an average 5 hours per day balancing theory and practical problems
What i have done so far is covered maximum practical lessons such Throughput, Variance, Lifecycle etc just to get a hang of the subject. I am planning to make own notes for quick revision of the theory. What is your plan of action? If you have some tips for better preparation, please share. (Trust me, im not the brightest either 🙂 )
All the best

Certain topics can be asked in a few different ways, which will require you to calculate backwards etc. Quick skimming to bag marks will not work in F5, I can guarantee you this. F5 has the potential to be very tricky and it will catch you out if you are not well versed in it.
Not to mention questions being asked with two areas. Say for example labour efficiency AND a learning curve in the same question. - AuthorPosts
