Hi John Moffat,
I would like to ask that for exam whether must write %, $, etc. in workings?
For example,
Answers:
Ke = 12.4%
Kd = 9.83%
Ve = $154.75 million
Vd = $19.016 million
WACC
=12.4%*$154.75m/$173.766m + 9.83%*$19.016m/$173.766m
=12%
Or
WACC
=12.4*154.75/173.766 + 9.83*19.016/173.766
=12%

It doesn’t matter, as long as it is clear to the marker what you are doing.
(Assuming you are referring to Section B of the exam. For Section A nobody will even look at your workings)
