Regarding WC example 2, why to calculate the new receivable balance, the discount was not incorporated into the calculat

I explain in my lecture that the examiner is not consistent – sometimes he brings in the discount and sometimes he doesn’t. As a result you get full marks whether you do or not (and the difference is always only small anyway).
